Dear Patients,
I am writing to share an important update about my practice and my upcoming maternity leave.
First and foremost, I want to reassure you that I will be returning to practice after my maternity leave. While some important changes are ahead, I am not leaving chiropractic care, and I look forward to continuing to care for you and your family.
After much thought and careful consideration, I have decided to close my current office location as I prepare to welcome a new baby. This was not an easy decision, but I believe it is the best path forward for both my family and the long-term future of my practice.
I have made every effort to find another chiropractor to join the practice and provide coverage during my maternity leave, but unfortunately, I have not been successful. Over the years, declining insurance reimbursement and the increasing administrative burden placed on small independent healthcare practices have made it more difficult to operate sustainably. Combined with the challenges we have experienced with property management at our current location, I have decided to use this time away to thoughtfully restructure my practice and re-locate rather than force it to operate during my absence. My goal is to return with a more sustainable practice model that allows me to continue providing exceptional patient care while creating a healthier work-life balance for my family.
When I return, I plan to reopen at a new location and will transition to an out-of-network practice. While I will no longer participate directly with insurance plans, we will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. This change will allow me to spend less time navigating insurance and more time focusing on what matters most—providing high-quality care to my patients and spending time with my growing family.
My last day adjusting at this location will be July 23rd. During this transition, my massage therapists will continue practicing, both at the current location and at the new location.
I understand this news may bring questions and uncertainty, and I sincerely appreciate your trust and support. If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to reach out. It has been an incredible privilege to be part of your healthcare journey, and I am truly grateful for the relationships we have built over the years. As plans for my return are finalized, I will share updates regarding my new location, schedule, and services through email, social media, and my website. If you would like to stay informed, please make sure we have your current contact information. I truly appreciate your understanding, support, and patience during this time.
Thank you for allowing me to care for you and your family. I look forward to continuing to support your health and wellness for years to come.
With gratitude,
Dr. Mikaylah
