I’ve been doing hair removal for just over 11 years & many new clients have said they didn’t know about me or that anyone in town did Brazilians. That it seems like I came out of nowhere! I keep saying I’ll tell the story of why, so here I go…
In April of 2016, I had a stalker that also broke into my home. We shut down our FB Business Pages and for the last 10 years we have relied on word of mouth.
It started out as a friend request (not unusual to get requests from women). Then, it was a compliment of my eyes on my business page pic. Two weeks later, my personal page notifications were blowing up for THREE HOURS, NONSTOP. When it first started, I thought, does this woman have me confused with someone else?! But, 3 hours later I realized, no, she’s crazy & I blocked her. Well, I had my home for sale at the time & it was too late…she’d seen my address from the Zillow post. Next morning, she drove from about 3 hours away and broke into my home. I had just left for work about 30/40 mins prior. She then came to the salon I worked at and refused to leave. I called the cops and they escorted her out. She said I was her ex-lover reincarnate.
After she left, I made a post on my FB asking friends & neighbors to keep an eye out for her vehicle. My neighbor commented & said she’d sent me a picture of a car that was parked in my yard & wondered if it was her. I went and checked the message and sure enough, it was hers. County was then contacted & my neighbors Husband came here & shut all my doors (she left them all wide open).
I’ll attach the original post if anyone wants to read it. The entire thing unfolded in the comments. It’s too much to add all here. I did get an emergency Order of Protection & went to court with her and got it extended to 5 years. Sometime after the Order expired, she changed her last name to mine on FB and I saw it 2 years after it expired. I’ll attach that info below also. To this day, despite me wanting to press charges, she was still never questioned or arrested for breaking & entering. It is beyond me…
What many didn’t know, was behind the scenes, I couldn’t hardly sleep for over a year. I was living in absolute terror every single day & night. When I was at home, I would sit in total silence, all lights off and all blinds closed. I didn’t want to miss a sound or to appear home. I was terrified that I would wake up to her standing over me.
I went to the Dr for some labs (wasn’t feeling right) and first question upon going over the results was, “Are you sleeping?” I told her no and then explained the entire situation. She listened and then explained I had to find a way to sleep, because one particular section of labs (not genetic) indicated I was in the highest range of likelihood for an oncoming cardiovascular event (heart attack or stroke). Sleep deprivation will destroy your body so quickly.
Unless you’ve experienced the kind of violation that comes with being stalked & your home being intruded, you can sympathize, but praise God your nervous system and brain won’t know that trauma.
