Labor Day.

Plenty of people reading this are working today anyway. Hospitals don't close, and neither do the people covering them.

So this is for the providers on shift, and for the credentialing teams who make sure they're cleared to be there. Both jobs are mostly invisible when they're done properly.

Enjoy the day if you get it.

People assume credentials renew on a tidy annual cycle. They do not.

Some states renew on your birth month. Some on a fixed calendar date. Some split the alphabet and renew you by last name. DEA registration ignores all of it and runs on a rolling three year anniversary of the day you first registered, which means a physician licensed in four states can be tracking five or six unrelated dates that never line up.

That's the actual job. Not filing, but knowing what falls due and when.

To hand that over, book a consultation at nationwidemedicallicensing.com or call 321-622-9030.

Alaska joined the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact in June. That takes it to 44 states, plus Washington DC and Guam.

For a physician who qualifies, the Compact is the difference between filing the same application over and over and filing once through a single point of entry. More than 200,000 licenses have gone through it, and over 3,600 were issued in a single month earlier this year.

It isn't automatic and it isn't right for everyone. Eligibility runs through one state of principal license, and the paperwork still has to be correct.

Opening an independent NP practice requires your state license, active NPI, CAQH setup, and commercial payer applications, all in motion before you can bill a single patient.
Most of these steps take months and are highly confusing if you have not done them before.
NML works with NPs to map out the full credentialing path and manage every step for a successful launch.

Start your independent practice right with NML:

Onboarding a new provider is a complex, multi-track process. Licensing, payer enrollment, CAQH setup, and hospital privileges must all start in parallel on day one.
If you do not run these tracks together, you lose valuable billing days at the end of the process.
NML manages the entire onboarding lifecycle for group practices so your new providers are billing-ready as fast as possible.

Mental health credentialing is uniquely complex. It has its own payer panel dynamics, major enrollment backlogs, and state requirements.
Therapists and psychologists face longer timelines, CAQH complications, and fragmented insurance networks that standard credentialing models ignore. We know this and are ready to help.
NML built a dedicated behavioral health service to address these specific challenges and accelerate your revenue.

Telehealth expanded access to care, but it did not simplify licensing. Seeing patients across multiple states means you must hold an active license in each one.
Managing varying state rules, DEAs, and renewals across a growing footprint is a massive operational burden.
NML handles your multi-state compliance from start to finish with an in-house team covering all 50 states.

Hospital re-privileging operates on a strict two-year cycle. Missing the deadline immediately prevents you from practicing or billing at that facility.
Gathering clinical data and facility forms is a heavy burden. Treating this as simple paperwork instead of a revenue-critical deadline is a major risk.
NML tracks your deadlines and submits your documentation perfectly so your practice never stalls.

CAQH re-attestation is a 120-day recurring deadline that most providers easily miss.
When it lapses, payers flag your record as unverifiable. This stalls applications, disrupts existing contracts, and triggers immediate billing denials.
NML prevents these costly disruptions by managing your CAQH profile and re-attestation schedule automatically. Keep your CAQH management on track with NML:

The most expensive credentialing mistake is not the application itself. It is what happens after it is submitted.
Most vendors file and move on, letting applications stall in queues for months. This "file and forget" pattern is the biggest driver of credentialing delays.
NML eliminates this gap with proactive, in-house follow-up from submission to final approval.

Stop the file and forget pattern today: https://vist.ly/5dtr8
