On Tuesday, we celebrated our very first Reading Buddies session of the year! 📚✨
​We were so thrilled to warmly welcome the volleyball team to spend time reading, chatting, and connecting with our students for our monthly program. A big thanks to Kailee, one of our new Learning Coaches for suggesting the time with her team💜 They brought incredible energy, enthusiasm, and bubbly personalities that immediately sparked excitement in the room!
​Our students loved sharing their favorite stories and getting to know the players, and the team had a wonderful time spending the afternoon with us. They know they are always welcomed back with open arms, and we are already looking forward to their next visit! 🏐💛

Week 4 proved that no Wi-Fi is no problem for our amazing class! 📝✨ When the internet went out, we skipped a beat, picked up our pencils and paper, and embraced a fully tech-free week. Honestly, it couldn't have been more fitting for what we were learning!
⛺ Indigenous Architecture with Drew: Exploring traditional Native American dwellings and home construction without modern tools.
💡 Values & Character with Sharon & Linda: Continuing our deep dive into the core virtues of life through meaningful group discussion.
🪟 Creative Crafting with Chloe: Adding custom windows to our ongoing building and design projects.
✈️ Flight & Engineering with Karen: Constructing miniature paper airplanes and experimenting with classic flight designs.
Stepping away from screens allowed us to focus entirely on hands-on learning, problem-solving, and genuine personal connections with one another!

Week 3 of Interdisciplinary Learning! 🌟
Our students are learning across four amazing stations:
🌍 Exploring global perspectives in Geography with Sharon
🪟 Getting creative with Window Making with Chloe
✈️ Taking flight with 3D & Paper Airplanes with Karen
💛 Learning about character and kindness in Virtues of Life with Linda
We were also thrilled to welcome Professor Wendy, Head of the Theology Department, along with her Ministry Practice class! They led a beautiful lesson on how God knows each of us by name. Students researched the origins and meanings of their names, decorated personalized name signs, and surrounded them with drawings of all their favorite hobbies and interests!
