Avoiding a Very Common Injury
💥It’s surprising even to us, but did you know over 500,000 people break their wrist every year? Wrist fractures are more common in women than men that are 60 years of age and older. Problem is, many never see a therapist after the fracture and may even have permanent loss of function.

Where it all started…
Recent trip to my hometown of Thermopolis Wyoming…
➡️Growing up, I was blessed to be able to spend time with the amazing team of therapists and prosthetists at Gottsche Rehabilitation Center, which amazingly in a small town in rural Wyoming was way ahead of its time in the 70’s and 80’s.
➡️The second photo is of the Wyoming Pioneer Home which is where I lived for 8 years! Yes, I lived in a retirement home! (My Dad was the administrator).
➡️Growing up here was an amazing opportunity to learn from the residents’ wisdom. (How to shoot pool among other things LOL). But primarily how to relate with people-of all ages.
➡️This trip was a wonderful opportunity to reminisce and reflect on all the people who had a positive influence on my life.
❓ How about you? Who are the key people who positively impacted you? Share their names below and thank them.
❓And lastly, never forget the young people in your orbit…we never know how our words and actions might change their life😀

😀Funny PT story: We received this cute email from a client who was traveling this week and thought we would share it. As they say, "Kids say the darnedest things."

Hello Cody,

I’m in my way to California and thought you’d appreciate the following anecdote:

Two siblings kind of arguing in line in front of me, I’d say 8 and 6, and the boy was kind of hitting the girl. The older child/girl says “mom! He’s hitting me! You have to make him stop being physical, maybe take him to physical therapy or something”
