🚂 The Speech Train is adding another car! 🚂

We are so excited to announce that Occupational Therapy services are coming to The Speech Train! 🎉💙

We are currently building an interest list for families who are interested in Occupational Therapy services. We will use this list to help determine when we have enough families ready to begin services.

✨ If you add your child to the interest list, they will be the first to receive Occupational Therapy when services begin. ✨

Services will officially begin once we have a strong group of families interested and ready to get started. This allows us to build our OT schedule and begin services in a way that best supports the children and families we serve.

Occupational Therapy may support children with areas such as sensory processing, fine motor skills, self-care skills, emotional regulation, and more. We are so excited to continue growing The Speech Train and expanding the support we can provide to children and families! 💙

🍓 Pediatric Feeding Therapy Now Available! 🥕

The Speech Train is excited to offer individual pediatric feeding therapy sessions using the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding®, a play-based, evidence-informed approach designed to help children build confidence and develop a positive relationship with food.

Feeding therapy may benefit children who:
🚂 Have a limited variety of accepted foods
🚂 Are hesitant to try new foods
🚂 Experience mealtime stress or anxiety
🚂 Have sensory-based feeding challenges
🚂 Struggle with chewing, swallowing, or advancing textures

✨ Coming Soon: Feeding Groups! ✨
I am currently starting a waitlist for small group feeding therapy sessions. Groups will begin once enough spots are filled, providing children with opportunities to explore foods, learn from peers, and build mealtime skills in a supportive environment.

🍽️ Parent Tip: Take the Pressure Off Mealtimes

If your child is struggling with eating, one of the most powerful things you can do is… take the pressure off 💛

Instead of asking for “just one bite” or negotiating at the table, try this:
✨ Expose your child to a small variety of foods (including at least one “safe” food your child usually accepts) without the expectation of “trying”
✨ Let your child explore food in their own way—touching, smelling, or even just looking counts!
✨ Keep mealtimes positive and low-stress (no pressure, no battles)

When kids feel safe and in control, they’re more likely to try new foods over time.

Feeding is a journey—and small steps matter!
