🍦💜 Here is the Scoop: WindsorMeade showed up for a sweet cause!

Residents beat the summer heat with plenty of ice cream, homemade favorites, and great company, all while supporting the Alzheimer's Association!

Neighbors came together to share a scoop (or two!) and raise funds in support of the WindsorMeade Walkers. Thank you to everyone who joined in, brought a homemade treat, and contributed to the cause.

Sometimes making a difference really can be this sweet! 💜🍨

Wellness is about more than staying active, it is about staying connected.

One of the most meaningful parts of our Pathways to Wellness philosophy is the Social Connection pillar. And social connection does not always have to mean a big trip, a full calendar, or an organized event.

Sometimes, it is as simple as joining friends for a cup of coffee in the morning. ☕️

Our morning coffee group is a wonderful example of the organic connections that happen every day in our community, a familiar face, an open seat at the table, a conversation that turns into a friendship.

That is the beauty of social wellness: it can look different for everyone. It is about finding the people, moments, and opportunities for connection that feel meaningful to you.

Sometimes the best parts of community life are not planned at all. 💛

Guests who made a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association were invited to choose a favorite photograph from a resident photographer's current gallery show to take home.

A beautiful evening celebrating art, generosity, and a cause that touches so many. All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. 💜

☀️ Supporting the Community All Summer Long 💙

When school is out for the summer, access to dependable meals can become a challenge for some local families. We are proud that WindsorMeade team members and residents had the opportunity to support the Williamsburg Area Meals On Wheels Summer Kids Program, an initiative helping provide nutritious meals to children throughout the community.

Through partnerships with local churches, organizations, and community supporters, the program provides kid-friendly bagged lunches, breakfasts, fresh snacks, and other essentials to help bridge the gap during the summer months.

WindsorMeade contributed much-needed food, drinks, and other supplies, while volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help prepare and bag lunches for local children. 🥪🍎

We are grateful to everyone who helped make a difference! 💙

There was plenty to celebrate at WindsorMeade during our Quarterly Birthday Party! This quarter, we celebrated an incredible 100 resident birthdays, including one very special resident who is joining the centenarian club🎉

🌟 Meade the Team Monday: Meet Lila! 🌟

As we celebrate Social Connection this month, we are highlighting the team members who help make WindsorMeade a place where everyone feels known, welcomed, and connected.

Meet Lila, Life Enrichment Coordinator for Bedford Terrace! 💙 Lila has been part of WindsorMeade for several years and helps create activities, outings, music programs, art classes, and everyday opportunities that bring residents together.

For Lila, social connection is all about belonging. “Sometimes it is sitting beside someone at lunch, singing a familiar song together, having someone notice you were not there yesterday, or simply knowing there are people around you who care.”

Whether she is playing a familiar song on the piano, teaching a painting class, or helping residents discover a shared interest, Lila loves creating opportunities for friendships to form naturally.

Her advice to new residents? Give something new a try. Join an activity, sit with someone new, take an outing, volunteer, or simply say “yes.” You never know when a small moment will lead to a meaningful friendship.
