Embark Counseling NC is growing, and we’re looking for a full-time therapist in Wilmington, NC who’s passionate about meaningful, relationship-focused work and excited about integrating Animal-Assisted Therapy into their practice.
Already have an AAT-certified dog? Amazing. 🐶
Have a pup you think would be a great fit but haven’t gone through certification yet? That’s okay too — we provide support + resources to help guide you through the certification and AAT process.

Requirements:
🐕 Master’s or doctorate from an accredited mental health–related program
🐕 Current NC mental health license — fully licensed and associate-level clinicians are welcome
🐕 Ability to conduct intakes, create treatment plans, provide therapy, and collaborate with community providers + organizations
🐕 An AAT-certified dog or a dog who is a good candidate to complete the certification process
Bonus points if you’re trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, eating disorder treatment, or bring another specialized niche to the team. ✨
