Full Head SMP After a Failed FUT Hair Transplant

This client had one FUT hair transplant and it didn't work. His sides were so thin we had to do scalp micropigmentation on his entire head.

What we did:

1. Full head SMP for a clean, shaved head look
2. Created a natural receding hairline
3. Blended his FUT scar and other scars into the SMP
4. Blended sun spots (solar lentigines), dark patches (hyperpigmentation), and light patches (hypopigmentation). We went right through all of it and blended it as best we could so his scalp looks even.

If your hair transplant didn't give you the results you wanted, SMP can still help. Free consultations in Wilmington, Delaware. Call 302-292-0380 or DM us.

If you want scalp micropigmentation in Wilmington before the holidays, now is the time to start. Thanksgiving and Christmas mean family photos, and that's when a lot of guys notice their hairline the most.

Here's the timing. Most people need 3 sessions spaced 7 to 14 days apart. If you start in early November, you can be done by the time the family pictures come out. Wait until mid December and you're cutting it close.

What SMP is: I place thousands of small pigment dots in the scalp that look like a fresh, short buzz cut. I build a soft hairline that fits your face and your age, not a hard line that looks drawn on. It doesn't grow hair and it's not surgery.

What it isn't: a fix for someone who wants long hair on top. You have to like it short.

Healing is simple. You get written aftercare instructions and aftercare materials from me. Touch ups usually come every 2 to 5 years.

I'm a Navy veteran. I lost my own hair while working at JPMorgan Chase, got 3 sessions of SMP myself, then got certified and trained with 5 world class SMP artists. I've done over 2,500 sessions since.

My studio is in Heritage Plaza on Annand Drive. Book a free consult this week. We'll talk about your hairline, check the calendar, and figure out if you can be finished before your holiday photos.

If you're in Dover and noticing your scalp more than you used to, scalp micropigmentation for thinning hair is worth a look. You don't have to shave your head for it.

For a lot of people it starts with a photo. Overhead lights at work, or a picture from behind at a family party. The hair is still there. It's the scalp showing through that gets you.

That's what density SMP works on. I place tiny pigment dots on the scalp between your hairs, matched to your hair color and skin tone. It doesn't grow hair. It cuts down the contrast, so the area reads fuller and darker even with your hair at its normal length.

It's done in layers. Most people need 3 sessions spaced 7 to 14 days apart so the look builds slowly and stays natural. Touch ups are usually every 2 to 5 years. I use organic pigment.

It works for guys and for women, for the crown, the part line or thinning all over the top. If you also use medication, that's between you and your doctor. SMP can go alongside it.

I know the feeling because I went through it. I lost my hair while working at JPMorgan Chase and got SMP myself before I ever trained. Since then I've done over 2,500 sessions.

The studio is in Heritage Plaza on Annand Drive in Wilmington. Book a free consult and I'll show you real density results up close.

If you're in Hockessin wondering whether to skip scalp micropigmentation and wait for the next hair loss pill, it's a fair question. There's been news lately about new treatments in late stage trials.

First, I'm not a doctor. Any question about finasteride, minoxidil or a new drug goes to your doctor or a dermatologist. I can only tell you what I see in my studio.

What I see is this. Medication tries to keep the hair you have and sometimes regrow some of it. It can take months to know if it's working, and you usually have to keep taking it. SMP doesn't grow hair at all. It's pigment placed in the scalp so thinning or bald areas look like short, full hair.

So they aren't really competing. Some people stay on medication and add SMP. Others have tried everything and just want to be done thinking about it.

If a new drug does come out down the road, SMP doesn't stop you from using it. If you keep more hair, we work with that.

The process is 3 sessions for most people, spaced 7 to 14 days apart. Touch ups usually every 2 to 5 years. I use organic pigment.

I lost my own hair while working at JPMorgan Chase and got SMP myself before I ever trained.

Come in for a free consult in Wilmington. We'll look at where you are now and talk about what makes sense.

If you have alopecia and live in Middletown, scalp micropigmentation for alopecia is something I'd like you to at least know about. Not as a cure. As a way to stop waking up wondering what your scalp looks like today.

Alopecia can be unpredictable. Patches show up, fill back in, then show up somewhere else. It's tiring to plan your day around it.

Here's what SMP is. I place small pigment dots in the scalp that look like short, shaved hair. It doesn't grow hair and it doesn't treat alopecia. I'm not a doctor, so the medical side stays with your dermatologist. What SMP can do is give you a consistent look, so a new patch doesn't stand out the way it did before.

Most people shave down to a short buzz and we build the look over 3 sessions spaced 7 to 14 days apart. I use organic pigment and match the shade to your skin. Touch ups are usually every 2 to 5 years.

Alopecia is different for everyone. If your loss is very active right now, we'll talk honestly about timing.

I've done over 2,500 SMP sessions with over 600 clients, and I give everyone written aftercare instructions so they know exactly what to do while it heals.

Book a free consult at my studio in Heritage Plaza in Wilmington. We'll talk about your alopecia, and you'll leave knowing if SMP fits you or not.

If you're in Philadelphia trying to decide between scalp micropigmentation vs a hair transplant, here's the plain version. They are two different things, and the right answer depends on your head, not on an ad.

A transplant moves your own hair from the back to the front. It can look great. But it's surgery, it takes months to see the result, and it depends on how much donor hair you have.

SMP doesn't grow hair. I place tiny pigment dots in the scalp that look like a fresh buzz cut. No surgery. Most people need 3 sessions spaced 7 to 14 days apart, and you see the look right away. Touch ups are usually every 2 to 5 years.

The catch is you have to like your hair short. If you want long hair on top, SMP alone isn't your answer. Some people do both. They get a transplant and then add SMP to make it look thicker.

I've done over 2,500 SMP sessions. I lost my own hair working at JPMorgan Chase and went through 3 sessions myself before I ever picked up a machine.

A lot of my clients come down from Pennsylvania. The studio is in Heritage Plaza on Annand Drive in Wilmington, an easy drive from Philly.

Come in for a free consult. I'll look at your hair, tell you honestly which option makes sense, and you can see real results in person.

What actually happens at your first SMP session? Here is the walkthrough, start to finish.

1. The consultation. We look at your hair loss, your skin tone and your goals. Do you want a sharp buzz cut look, a soft natural hairline, or density under longer hair? We talk about what is realistic for your age and face shape.

2. Designing the hairline. Before any pigment goes on, we draw the hairline and you look at it in the mirror. A good hairline is soft and slightly irregular, like a real one. If you do not love it, we adjust it.

3. Color matching. The pigment is matched to your hair and skin so the result looks like real stubble or hair, not a tattoo.

4. The session. Thousands of tiny dots go on in layers. Most people say it is uncomfortable at worst.

5. Healing. Expect some redness for a day or two. Avoid heavy sweating, swimming and direct sun while you heal.

6. More sessions. SMP is built in layers over a few sessions spaced apart, so the density looks natural and the color settles evenly.

The photo shows a real hairline result from our Wilmington studio.

After your sessions are done, there is no daily routine. Just keep your scalp moisturized, use sunscreen, and enjoy not thinking about your hair.

Consultations are free and there is zero pressure.

Losing your brows changes your whole face. For people going through alopecia or recovering from chemotherapy, brows are often what they miss most in the mirror.

Microblading can bring back the look of natural brows. The artist designs a shape that suits your face and draws fine strokes of pigment that look like individual brow hairs. You do not need existing brow hair for it to work, which makes it a good option for many people with brow loss.

A few things to know first:

1. Talk to your doctor. If you are in treatment or recently finished, check with your care team before booking. Your skin, immune system and medications all matter.

2. Alopecia can come and go. Microblading gives you a consistent brow either way. If there is active irritation in the brow area, it is best to wait until it settles.

3. The consultation is where every question gets answered. Your artist will ask about your health history and medications, look at your skin, and decide with you whether microblading is a good fit right now.

If you are also dealing with thinning hair on your scalp, Delaware SMP offers scalp micropigmentation for men and women in the same studio.

Microblading at Delaware SMP is done by Kelsey Tyre of K.A.T Eyes, a licensed esthetician and brow and PMU artist. Consultations are free and private.

Want your lash extensions to last? It mostly comes down to what you do at home.

Extensions do not fall out because they failed. They fall out because your natural lashes shed every day, and the extension goes with it. Your habits decide how full your set stays between fills.

The first 24 hours:

1. Keep your lashes dry. No swimming, no steam, no crying at movies if you can help it.
2. Skip the sauna and very hot showers.
3. Do not touch, rub or pull at your new lashes.

Every day after that:

1. Brush them out in the morning with a clean spoolie.
2. Clean them a few times a week with a lash-safe foam cleanser.
3. Keep oil-based makeup removers and heavy eye creams away from your lash line.
4. Sleep on your back or use a silk pillowcase.
5. Never use a lash curler or mascara on extensions. You will not need them.

And the big one: book your fills every two to three weeks. If you wait too long, there may not be enough extensions left to fill, and you will need a new full set.

Lash extensions at Delaware SMP are done by Kelsey Tyre of K.A.T Eyes, a licensed esthetician and lash artist. She walks every new client through aftercare so you leave knowing exactly what to do.
