From fragrant herbs and fresh vegetables to colorful flowers, each plot reflects the care and dedication of our resident gardeners. The gardens not only provide beauty and fresh produce, but also create opportunities for neighbors to connect, share gardening tips and enjoy time outdoors.

🎶👔 A unique collection is now on display at Orchard Ridge!

Resident Truman Dalton is sharing his impressive collection of Jerry Garcia neckties in the Hallway Cabinet for fellow residents and visitors to enjoy. Known for their vibrant colors, artistic designs and distinctive style, Jerry Garcia ties have become collector's items for many enthusiasts.

This display is part of our rotating resident collections, which features a different resident's collection each month. From treasured keepsakes to fascinating hobbies, these exhibits provide a wonderful opportunity for residents to share their passions, stories and interests with the community.

What a treat it was to welcome the Apple Valley Ringers Handbell Choir to our community!

Under the direction of Jacquetta Owen, this talented ensemble delighted residents and guests with a unique concert featuring more than five octaves of handbells and choir chimes. The performance showcased beautiful arrangements that went far beyond traditional church music, offering a fresh and entertaining experience for all in attendance.

The Village at Orchard Ridge—A National Lutheran Community is seeking a part-time licensed hairstylist to provide on-site salon services for residents.

This is a contracted position and a great opportunity for someone looking to build clientele, gain experience, and work in a warm, supportive environment. The residents truly look forward to salon day and value the relationships they build with their stylists.

Requirements:
• Current Virginia cosmetology license
• Certificate of Insurance (COI) required
• Ability to work independently as a contractor
• Friendly, professional demeanor and comfort working with older adults

Position Details:
• Available for appointments 2 days per week (you pick the days)
• Independent/contracted role
• Clientele will be Memory Care residents
