💭 MONDAY MINDSET: You don't have to feel like doing it to decide it's worth doing.

I really didn't feel like working out this morning. 😬

But I'm committed to rebuilding my strength after a back injury, and unfortunately, that means I can't only do it on the days when I FEEL motivated.

So I pulled out the weights, turned on a workout video, put on some worship music 🎶 🙌… and started.

And you know what? I'm really glad I did.

Even with a certain little someone 🐶 who was pretty convinced that if I was on the floor, clearly it was time to play. 😂🧡

Sometimes we wait for motivation before we act. But so often, the motivation—or at least the feeling that it was worth it—comes AFTER we start.

And this isn't just about working out.

❤️ Maybe it's making time to connect with your spouse when life is busy.
🧠 Going to counseling or doing the hard work on your mental health.
💬 Having a conversation you've been avoiding.
🚶‍♀️ Taking care of your body when you'd rather stay on the couch.
🙏 Making space to pray and connect with God when your mind is going a million directions.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Being intentional with your kids when you're tired.
🛑 Setting a boundary even when you know someone may not like it.
🌱 Or simply taking the next small step toward something that matters to you.

You don't have to do everything today. Sometimes you just have to start.

What's something that's a little hard right now—but you know is worth doing? 💛

❤️ Are you loving your spouse the way THEY feel loved?

It’s so easy to give love in the ways that come naturally to us. But what feels loving to you may not be what speaks most deeply to your spouse. 💕

If words of affirmation aren’t your thing, saying them may take intentionality. If quality time isn’t how you naturally connect, you may have to purposely put down the phone 📱 and make the time. If acts of service don’t come naturally, doing that little thing that makes their day easier can say, “I see you. You matter to me.” 🫶

💡 Healthy marriages don’t just run on good intentions—they require intentional action.

Not sure what your spouse’s love language is? ❤️ Have a conversation about it! Talk about the things that make each of you feel most loved and cared for—and then come up with a few practical ways you can intentionally speak each other’s love language this week.

Because loving your spouse well isn’t always about doing what comes naturally. Sometimes it’s choosing to love them in the way that means the most to them. ❤️

🌅 Sometimes the little things are exactly what our hearts need.

Getting out of bed early this morning was NOT easy 😴… but a quiet walk, a beautiful sky, a tiny alligator 🐊, and some uninterrupted time with God made it completely worth it.

I went into my walk praying for wisdom and direction about something in my life. And then, of all things, I ended up waking by a high school senior’s car with Jeremiah 29:11 written on it. 💛

Was it a direct answer to everything I was praying about? Maybe not. But it was a sweet reminder that God sees us in the middle of our questions—and sometimes encouragement shows up in the most ordinary places.

✨ Pay attention to the little things today. You never know which one might be exactly what your heart needed.

💚 MONDAY MINDSET: Love takes intentionality.

Most strong marriages aren’t built on one big romantic gesture.

They’re built in the **small, ordinary moments** when we choose to notice, pursue, and care for one another. 🤍

Maybe this week that looks like…

💬 Asking about their day — and really listening.
🤗 Being intentional with affection and physical connection.
☕ Taking something off their plate without needing recognition.
💛 Telling them something you genuinely appreciate about who they are.
🌷 Surprising them with a little *“I was thinking about you.”*

But here’s something worth paying attention to:

🌟 What makes YOU feel loved may not be what makes your spouse feel most loved.

Part of loving someone well is getting curious about "them".

We will talk about this more later this week!

👇 Which one are you going to try this week?
Or tag your spouse and tell them one little thing they do that makes you feel loved.

⛈️ That storm last night was INTENSE!
All that thunder and lightning had us wondering… how do storms go in your house?

Some kids barely notice them, while others are under the covers at the first rumble of thunder. And sometimes the things that feel small to us can feel really big to our kids. 💛

What helps your child when they’re scared? And what are some of the other fears you’re helping them navigate right now?

👇 Tell us in the comments!
We’d love to hear what your kids are afraid of so we can share some practical ways to help them feel safe, understood, and a little more confident when the next “storm” comes. 🌧️➡️🌤️

How you respond to your kids’ stories—and their answers when you ask how their day was at school—really matters. You want to create an emotionally safe space where they feel comfortable sharing with you.

Good questions open the door. Good responses keep it open.

Be curious. Listen. Connect.

And remember: connection before correcting!
