NEW HIRE ALERT! 🚨
We are SO excited to share that Michael Eblin LISW (they/them) will be joining the team as a part time therapist! Michael specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ folks, especially trans and gender expansive clients, as well as working with trauma.

Michael started their career in mental health almost 15 years ago as a psychiatric support case manager for families and a prevention specialist to LGBTQIA+ youth. After receiving their Master of Social Work from OSU, they continued their work in community mental health as a therapist, and most recently been working in an intensive outpatient program.

Michael is a nonbinary, q***r, neurodivergent, white person in a fat, tall body from Appalachian hill people with generational poverty. A proud first-generation undergraduate and master’s graduate, they also recognize that moving through those institutions afforded a lot of privilege they do not take lightly.

Michael believes therapy should be a true partnership. They consider it a great honor to work so closely with folks through life’s challenges and triumphs.

They will be offering afternoon, evening, and weekend appointments.

Welcome Michael! Link in the comments to schedule with them.

Today is an opportunity.

As mental health professionals, today provides an opportunity to reflect on resilience, recommit to anti-oppressive practice, and consider our role in creating systems that promote equity.

May we continue to learn, listen, and work toward a future rooted in justice, equity, and belonging.

Healing through authenticity.

Our slogan wasn’t chosen by accident. Living as your authentic self acknowledges that innermost part of yourself that may have been hidden away for some time. By doing so you choose to remove the mask. Choose to believe you are worthy of love. And by doing so it heals wounds done by living a life that wasn’t you.

Today and every day we celebrate us. Those who have gone before us and paved the way. Those who bravely live true to themselves in the here and now. And those who are in the process of learning to embrace themselves. Our community shows resilience, courage, and grit worthy of honoring.

To our q***r siblings: we see you. We honor you. And we are with you. You are worthy of healing.

Family isn’t defined by what it looks like.

Family is built by the countless every day moments that bring people together. By the ways we show each other care. And by the home that we find in one another.

Everyone’s mental health matters.

As Mental Health Awareness month comes to a close, let us pause and check in with ourselves. What is our mental health like right now? And what do we need to improve mental health today? Incorporating regular mental health check ins with yourself, frequent opportunities for connection with others, and positive daily habits are practical steps for improving mental health.

Looking to connect with a therapist for additional mental health support? Click the link in our bio to schedule with one of our therapists.
