A little rain couldn’t dampen the fun at yesterday’s All Belong Golf Outing!

The forecast may include some rain and even a few thunderstorms today, but the outing is still on! Fortunately, the course was designed with excellent drainage, so a little rain won’t keep us from enjoying a great day together!

We’ll continue to monitor the weather and follow all course safety protocols if storms move through. Otherwise, we’re looking forward to seeing everyone on the course!

For students with disabilities, the right educational fit is not just a preference. It can shape whether a student is able to participate, build friendships, and thrive.

All Belong COO Betsy Winkle recently wrote about how Scholarship Granting Organizations could help families access supports such as tutoring, disability-related services, assistive equipment, and more.

Michigan has an opportunity to add another layer of support for students and families. Betsy’s piece reminds us that this work is personal, practical, and deeply connected to belonging.

Scholarships could support tutoring, disability-related supports and services, assistive equipment and more. But only if the governor opts in. These are new federal tax credits that help all K-12 students regardless of where they go to school — public, non-public, or charter.

Teachers do.

We’re honored to be part of the inaugural Understory Festival happening this weekend at Washington National Cathedral.

Understory, hosted by Comment magazine, is a civic and spiritual gathering focused on rehumanizing our common life. We’ve been invited to host a “nook,” a small space for reflection and conversation, where we’ll invite people to consider how institutions shape the way we see disability, inclusion, and belonging.

If you’re attending Understory, we hope you’ll stop by our nook for a quiet reflection on disability, belonging, and shared life.
