Celebrating the strength of mothers finding their way forward.

After initially drinking socially in high school, Maria’s addiction worsened following a breakup, leading to tumultuous relationships and the loss of her son, Angel, to foster care. Through treatment and the support of the Parent-Child Assistance Program, she reclaimed her life and reunited with Angel on Valentine’s Day 2022. She emphasizes that it is challenging to quit drinking alcohol in a society where it’s prevalent, but her resilient spirit has made her successful in her recovery, which she attributes to faith, personal goals, and the belief of those who support her, including her PCAP case worker, Alexis Garcia.

Yesterday, we gathered for the very first event in our Conversations with Community series with a powerful beginning.

Healing in Community created a space for understanding and compassion. Together, we explored how healing doesn’t happen in isolation, it happens when we show up for one another, listen, and build community rooted in empathy and hope.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate strength, hope, and second chances.

Tiffany Hansen’s journey is one of resilience and transformation. While pregnant, Tiffany chose to begin her recovery through Triumph’s Pregnant and Parenting Women’s Program, making one of the hardest and bravest decisions of her life for herself and her child.

Today, Tiffany’s story has come full circle. She now works at Triumph as a Substance Use Disorder Professional, supporting others on their recovery journeys with empathy, compassion, and lived experience. She is also continuing her education as she works toward her bachelor’s degree in social work, driven by a deep desire to give back to the community that helped change her life.

Today, we honor moms like Tiffany, who show incredible courage, choose healing, and turn their pain into purpose for the next generation.
