We are excited to welcome Dr Meggan Peffer to Zuid-Afrikaans Hospital.
Dr Meggan Peffer is a General Surgeon and Colorectal Subspecialist with extensive training and expertise in colorectal and general surgery. She obtained her MBChB degree from Stellenbosch University and completed her specialist training in General Surgery through the University of Pretoria, earning both her Fellowship of the College of Surgeons of South Africa (FCS) and an MMed in Surgery. Dr Peffer further specialised in Colorectal Surgery, completing a Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery and obtaining a Certificate in Surgical Gastroenterology (Colorectal) through the College of Medicine of South Africa. She also completed a three-month travelling fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at the Amsterdam University Medical Center in the Netherlands, where she gained valuable international experience in advanced colorectal surgical techniques.
Passionate about patient care, surgical innovation and medical education, Dr Peffer is actively involved in training future surgeons and remains committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate care. She is a member of the South African Colorectal Society and the South African Society of Endoscopic Surgeons.
