🏉 Mate vs Mate.
Physio vs Physio 😳

State of Origin is today… but Fortis Physio has a rivalry of its own brewing this week 🔥

The Woden Valley Rams take on the Queanbeyan Blues at Raiders Belconnen, with Fortis involved on BOTH sides of the clash for the Fortis Physio Cup 🏆

Adam McAuliffe will be there as Head Physiotherapist for the Rams, while Matt Hoad continues Fortis’ work with the Blues in 2026, alongside long-time Blues physio Scott Gordon 💪

Three Fortis physios. Two clubs.

No matter the result, we’re proud to support local rugby league and the incredible community around Canberra Region Rugby League 🏆

Great session with Dr Yeong Joe Lau and the team from .professionals last week. Always valuable getting clinicians together to share knowledge, discuss evolving surgical and rehab approaches, and continue refining how we support our patients through recovery and return to activity 💪

A big thank you to Dr Lau for such an insightful and practical presentation.

Running conditions are improving… which means one common trap 👇
Doing too much, too soon.

We’re already seeing an increase in:
• Achilles & calf tightness
• Knee pain (especially around the kneecap)
• Hip & glute overload

A few simple ways to stay on track:
• Build gradually (10–15% per week)
• Keep 1–2 easy days
• Don’t ignore niggles
• Keep up your strength work

Not all soreness is a bad thing - but if pain is sharp, worsening, or sticking around longer than a couple of days, it’s worth getting checked early.
