Our website problem is now resolved, just in time for the long weekend! Thanks for your patience. It seems the problem was all to do with some flooding last week disrupting our data centre!

Unfortunately our website is down and we aren't sure why! We are looking into it and hopefully we will be back on board as soon as we can.

Education is front and centre for IMAGENDO because improving access to high-quality endometriosis ultrasound starts with building a skilled and confident workforce.

We are so proud of our masters student Allison Mander who today present a workshop of on how to simplify and endometriosis assessment at the conference. This workshops was one of the largest workshops at this conference.

As this was Allison’s first time presenting, Alison Deslandes was presenting with her to support but was unfortunately unable to attend at the last minute. but we are incredibly grateful to our Sydney based collaborator Professor George Condous for stepping in to support the workshop and share his expertise with participants.

Every sonographer trained, every clinician educated, and every service improved helps bring quality endometriosis imaging to more people who need it. Seeing research translated into real-world improvement in endo diagnosis is exactly what IMAGENDO is all about.

With the amazing support of the Robinson Research Institute, Adelaide University, we are so excited to finally see AIMEE launched to the world.

The first generation of AIMEE provides theoretical learning for sonographers wants to learn endometriosis ultrasound anywhere, anytime on their smart phone.

Meanwhile, our team is busy in the lab working on the AI that will bring her to life in a way we have never before seen for ultrasound training!

A new paper from Rachelle Bonner amd Jodie Wilson Avery: “Endometriosis at the Intersection: Trauma, Identity, and the Struggle for Equitable Care”

This piece challenges the idea that endometriosis is *just* a biomedical condition. It isn’t.
It sits at the intersection of trauma, structural inequality, and whose pain gets believed.

They argue that:
– Diagnostic delay isn’t accidental, it’s systemic
– Trauma doesn’t just coexist with endometriosis, it shapes how it’s experienced and treated
– Entire groups (First Nations people, trans and gender-diverse people, people in larger bodies, people with disabilities, and racially marginalised communities) are routinely erased from research and care
– Patients are forced into self-advocacy because systems continue to fail them

It’s not a light read. But it’s an important one.

At its core, this is about pushing for care that is more human. Care that actually recognises the full reality of people’s lives, not just their symptoms.

If this is something you care about, whether professionally or personally, I’d love you to have a read and tell me what you think.
