We know that true athleticism is built through progression, not a collection of random workouts.
It takes genuine strength to move load with control, and conditioning to sustain your effort. Developing both requires structure, consistency and a clear understanding of what you’re working towards.
At PLATFRM, Run & Weights builds these qualities across three phases:
1. Endurance
Build your foundation. On the floor, higher rep ranges develop muscular endurance, using weights that make the final reps challenging while allowing you to maintain technique. On the treadmill, sustained efforts around high Zone 3 to low Zone 4 develop your fitness, pacing and ability to keep working.
2. Tempo
Build your capacity for more demanding work. On the floor, progress your weights with more intensity as your strength and stamina increases. On the treadmill, harder sustained efforts targeting Zone 4 develop your ability to maintain a faster pace with control.
3. Speed
Apply your strength and conditioning to shorter, higher intensity efforts. On the floor, work with explosive demands and purposeful repetitions, maintaining quality throughout each set. On the treadmill, faster efforts take you towards Zone 5, with recovery between efforts helping you repeat the work.
Heart rate zones guide your running intensity. Rep targets, weights and recovery guide your resistance training. Your coaches help you make those choices according to the session’s purpose and your current ability.
Progress might mean completing more controlled reps with the same weight, lifting heavier for the same reps, or covering more distance at a comparable effort.
Both sides of the room work hand in hand.
Endurance remains your weekly foundation, with Tempo and Speed introduced as your ability and confidence develop.
Every phase has a purpose, and every session gives you something to build on.
That’s how we build a better PLATFRM.
