Today some of our team engaged in our regular internal school holiday PD day ☀️

We learnt all about navigating, challenging behaviours, collaborative and effective goal setting with families, and more about all things AAC and TD Snap through the lovely Jade and Sarah at TobiiDynavox💻

As another school holidays quickly disappears, we are looking forward to a successful final 10 weeks of the 2026 working year, and putting our new learnt knowledge into practice 💛

A warm welcome to our term 4 placement students, Krisaa and Adie, who will be supporting our therapists and clients on Mondays and Wednesdays this term 🌸 Both girls are finishing their final placements, before officially becoming qualified Speech Pathologists 🥳

Our amazing Clinical Educators and Senior Speech Pathologists, Zoe and Jo, will be supporting the girls with clients across Two Wells, South and West. We look forward to you meeting the girls, and look forward to supporting them to develop their skills as future Speech Pathologists coming into 2027! 🤍

Last week, our wonderful Speechies El and Sarah, completed the intensive four day SoundsWrite course. This course is extremely valuable, allowing us to support children (and adults) to develop their reading, writing and spelling capabilities, and allowing them to successfully access an alternative means of communication 🤍 we can’t wait to see the girls continue to apply their knowledge and share their new resources ✨

Happy 3 years to our beautiful Senior Speech Pathologist, Claudia 🌸

Claudia is such an incredible asset to our team, her passion and care for all of her families and clients goes above and beyond her expectations as a therapist. She continues to challenge herself, supporting a number of our clients with complex communication needs, and being one of our go-to’s for anything mealtime and OEDCP related.

Thank you for everything you do for our team Claudia, it has been so lovely to continue to watch you grow and develop into a senior and leadership role, and we can’t wait to continue to see everything you achieve in the future 🤍

A bit of Friday fun to end the week 🤪 having our SP’s guess what we are wanting them to do without words - and they smashed it! ✨

🫧 1) blow some bubbles
🐟 2) get the fishing rod and catch the fish
🌶️ 3) feed the axolotyl a hot chilli!
🛝 4) go down the slide 😂
🤫 5) change the ‘how loud am I’ visual to ‘silent’ and make the face 🤪

This month we are celebrating one year of our wonderful Administration Officer, Matilda! 🌸 Matilda brings so much warmth, laughs and positive energy to our team, and goes above and beyond to support all of our therapists and families behind the scenes. We would be lost without her and all of her support - we appreciate you so much Matilda, happy one year! 🥳
