Hi to all from Mental Health Partners,
Did you know that despite having a Mental Illness, you can actually live well?? You can live your best life, that is not the perfect life, I said "Best Life". I was reminded of this the other day during a course I was helping to run. That's because recently I have been struggling with the fact, I don't work Full-time, I only earn a modest Income and there's times when I feel like a a failure.
Then I get reminded, by being a part of Mental Health Partners and helping others, I am living my "Best Life". I have tried to work full-time since being managed out of a job due to my Mental Health. Every time, my mind won't allow me to do what it takes to successfully work a 38 hr week. Believe me I have tried, I have pushed the boundries and have found I can cope with a four day week. By doing this I have found the perfect balance for me that keeps me well and gives me my "Best Life". As well as doing some other things that keep me well, like Personal Resilience and Self Care.
Don't let Mental Health define you, it doesn't have too, it's not who you are. It's just you have a Medical Condition that is no different to having Diabetes, there is a chemical imbalance in your body - It's Not Your Fault!
To learn more and work on how to live your "Best Life", we have Webinars that can be a starting point to understanding what Mental Illness is, and where you can find resources to help you. We also have a Webinar on Resilience and I am living proof that building your Personal Resilience works!
