It all began when my young son battled severe eczema, and I found solace in massage treatments and aromatherapy while navigating the demands of a stressful job. In 2012, it struck me that I had an innate calling to help not only my family but also my friends and the broader community. This realization led me to embark on a part-time journey of education and exploration. By 2015, I had successfully completed my qualifications, becoming a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist. This was a pivotal moment that marked the birth of my business venture, one that I pursued alongside my husband, Craig, who is the owner of Ethereal Holistic Massage. Together, we ventured into the realm of the Complementary Health industry. Over the years, I've continued to expand my expertise in various therapeutic modalities, including Therapeutic Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage, and Aromatherapy consultations. My commitment to enhancing well-being has driven me to acquire additional qualifications in Reiki, CranioSacral Therapy, Ear Candling, as well as Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Hypnotherapy. For me, holistic therapy isn't just a profession; it's a way of life and a heartfelt passion. Every day, I witness the remarkable benefits of these therapies and their transformative impact on our clients' lives. My approach is proactive and rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to be empowered to lead a joyful life while effectively managing the stresses it may bring. Sometimes we become so accustomed to feeling heavy, puffy or uncomfortable that we simply get on with our day.

But feeling that way doesn't have to be something you automatically ignore.

Just like a garden, it takes care and consistency to grow and flourish. 🌱
I've been reflecting on how often we wait until we're exhausted before making time to look after ourselves.
But our well-being deserves ongoing attention, not just the occasional moment when everything else is finished.
Sometimes the smallest choices, made consistently, can make a meaningful difference.
And that's something I believe strongly in, both personally and in my work at Celestial Aromatics. 💜

Sometimes a massage is about so much more than the physical treatment. 💜

I recently received a beautiful Google review that reminded me why I love the work I do.

For me, creating space for someone means giving them time where they can simply be.

A place where they're listened to, where nothing is expected of them, and where they can allow themselves to slow down.

Sometimes we talk. Sometimes there's very little conversation at all.

Every person comes in with their own needs, and I believe it's important to meet them where they are.

I'm incredibly grateful to the clients who trust me with that time.

We know how quickly the weeks leading up to Christmas can fill up.

Work commitments.

Family plans.

End-of-year events.

Shopping, organising and all the extra things that seem to find their way onto our lists.

And somewhere amongst all of that, we can find ourselves putting our own wellbeing further and further down the list.

But here's something I've come to believe very strongly.

Looking after ourselves shouldn't be something we leave until everything else is done.

Because for many of us, everything else is never really done.

We don't have to wait until we're completely exhausted before we make time to slow down.

It might be a walk.

It might be creating a little quiet time in the day.

It might be saying no to something.

Or it might be booking that treatment you've been thinking about for weeks.

Small choices made now can help us approach the coming months differently.

And isn't that a much nicer way to move towards the end of the year? 💜

I never cease to be amazed by what 60 minutes can mean to someone.

And I genuinely mean that.

I see people arrive for treatments carrying all sorts of things.

Some are physically uncomfortable.

Some have been rushing from one thing to the next.

Some have so much going on that they've barely had a moment to stop.

And for the next 60 minutes, they don't have to organise, plan or take care of anyone else.

They can simply be.

Sometimes they drift off to sleep.

Sometimes I hear a little snore.

Sometimes they leave telling me how much lighter or more relaxed they feel.

And sometimes it's the little things they notice afterwards that mean the most to them.

It's one of the reasons I love the work I do.

Because while the treatment might be different for each person, whether it's Aromatherapy Massage or Manual Lymphatic Drainage, the care and attention I bring to that hour doesn't change.

That time is for you.

And I don't think we should have to reach the point of exhaustion before we decide we're worth looking after. 💜
