We're looking forward to an afternoon and evening of live music, games, dancing, good food, and great company at The Monthly Mixer's June event.

Join us for Winter Warmers – a relaxed evening of games, warm food, music, dancing, and community connection.

We will start the afternoon with a live acoustic music set and games, followed by dinner, then we will bring on the dancing tunes!
Low sensory space will again be available for reset time.

Whether you came to our first Mixer or are thinking about joining us for the first time, we’d love to see you there. Expect familiar faces, a welcoming atmosphere, and plenty of opportunities to connect with old friends and make new ones.

We’re beginning to plan the next chapter of The Monthly Mixer — and we’d love to hear from you.

Following the success of our first event, we are collecting feedback and ideas from participants, families, support staff, organisations, volunteers, and community members to help shape future events and projects.

We’re especially interested in ideas around:
🎵 Future event types
🤝 Community connection
♿ Accessibility and inclusion
🎨 A larger community showcase event later this year

The survey takes around 5–10 minutes and can be completed anonymously.

Round 2 is officially locked in! ❄️🔥

After listening to feedback from our first Mixer event, the overwhelming response was clear: people would love another evening event.
So, on Friday 26th June from 4pm–9pm, we’ll be bringing you Winter Warmers — a relaxed afternoon-to-night community event filled with games, warm food, music, dancing, and connection.

Due to the incredible support and high demand from our first event, we’ve upgraded to the larger function room — so expect the same familiar faces, welcoming atmosphere, and community hospitality, just with a little more space.

Well… what an amazing night!

Last night was the very first The Monthly Mixer event, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support shown by the Armidale community. Around 85 people came through the doors, and the room was full of music, dancing, laughter, and new friendships.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, along with the families, carers, support workers, volunteers, and community members who helped make the evening such a success.

We’ve already collected some fantastic feedback and suggestions, and we’ll be consulting with attendees before announcing what comes next.

We’re just three days away from our very first event, and our team have been working hard to make it a fun night for everyone who attends.
