This week, we celebrate four decades of Queensland Child Protection Week. This year's theme, Every Conversation Matters, highlights the power of everyday conversations and turning dialogue into action.

At True, we believe everyone has a role in creating safer communities and supporting the wellbeing of kids. Our globally recognised Traffic Lights® framework helps professionals identify, understand and respond to sexual behaviours in children and young people. The framework groups behaviours into three categories:

🟢 Green: Behaviours which are typical and developmentally expected.
🟠 Orange: Behaviours requiring attention.
🔴 Red: Behaviours which are concerning and need immediate response.

Using a simple colour-coded approach, the framework supports healthy development and helps identify behaviours of concern. By using this framework, we strengthen our ability to safeguard children and maintain safe and supportive communities.

We're proud to support The Female Co, a First Nations-led not-for-profit empowering women and girls through sport, education, and leadership in Far North Queensland.

Over several years, True has provided education about respectful relationships and reproductive health to participants in The Female Co Academy, which will welcome its 2026-27 intake this month. Together, we walk alongside these young female athletes and support their health and wellbeing - creating opportunities to build confidence, connection and knowledge.

This partnership is part of True’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote access and equity, respectful relationships, and health literacy across Queensland.

This year's theme, 'Every Body', is written as two words for a reason. It recognises every person and the body they inhabit.

What does this mean?

It recognises that sexual health outcomes are shaped not only by our bodies, but also by the communities, systems and environments we live in.

At True, we believe everyone deserves access to inclusive and equitable sexual and reproductive healthcare. From age-appropriate early education to first periods, contraception and STI checks, through to menopause, True supports people across every stage of life. It’s World Hepatitis Day today, an important reminder of the importance of prevention and testing. Did you know, it’s estimated that there are 300,000 people in Australia living with viral hepatitis?

We can all work together to reduce the transmission of hepatitis through awareness, prevention, testing and treatment.

Hepatitis B and C are blood-borne viruses that affect your liver. Hepatitis B is officially classified a sexually transmittable infection (STI). Vaccination is available to help prevent infection and STI screening is recommended for those at risk.

True provides access to STI testing, including our free STI tests for people aged 25 and under in Brisbane, Rockhampton and Cairns.

The 2026 True Symposium Program is now available!

Following the success of last year's Symposium, this year's event has been expanded to two days of tailored learning!

Day one is designed for educators and professionals working with children and young people.

Day two is a focussed clinical update for health professionals delivering women’s sexual and reproductive health services.

Program highlights include youth perspectives, inclusive relationships and sexuality education, and contemporary clinical insights into contraception, STIs and menopause.

The True Symposium is an important opportunity to stay up to date with evidence-based practice in sexual and reproductive health and education.

Interpreters and translators working in clinical, health education or health promotion settings, this FREE course is for you!

Increase your competency and confidence in communicating reproductive and sexual health topics with clients, including:

- bodies and the reproductive system
