Big news for WA families ‼️

From 2026, Western Australian children aged 2 to under 12 will be able to access a FREE needle-free nasal flu vaccine for the very first time.

The new vaccine, delivered as a simple nasal spray, offers the same protection as the traditional flu shot without the needle. ✨

After more than a decade of advocacy from Professor Chris Blyth and the team at The Kids Research Institute Australia, "FluMist" will finally be introduced in WA, following its successful use in children's vaccination programs across the Northern Hemisphere, including the UK.

This is a major step forward for children who are anxious about needles and for families wanting an easier, more accessible way to protect kids against influenza. 🦠
