The Happy Human Hub

Where Happy Humans Hang Out! We are a disability support provider in Lake Macquarie, NSW.

We believe that our school aged children and young adults with disabilities need constant interaction and communication with their peers, those of similar age and interests, to build and form friendships and life skills. Our goal is to commence social programs for school aged children and continue supporting their development and independence when they leave school. Our team at The Happy Human Hub have found that participants who choose to include educational games and programs integrated into their daily program, are continuing to show improvement in all areas including development in speech and communication, physical, tactile, gross and fine motor skills. We have chosen ‘fun, interactive’ ways to support continuous learning in all aspects of the participant’s plan, including physical activities, improve independence, edu-tainment, community access and social activities.

💙🌟 SOCIAL DYNAMIC DEVELOPMENT CLUB – ANOTHER WEEK FULL OF SMILES, ADVENTURES & CONNECTIONS! 🌟💙

What a week it’s been for our Social Dynamic Development Happy Humans! 🥰

We got right into the Halloween spirit on Tuesday, whipping up some spooky snacks and getting creative in the kitchen! 🎃👻

We then took things to new heights at the trampoline park, bouncing, laughing and burning off some energy! 🤸‍♀️✨

Our Happy Humans also put their coordination and balancing skills to the test during Strength & Wellness with the lovely Kiara from LetsMoveLakeMac

And Jonah made some new friends who were kind enough to let him inspect their awesome truck! 🚛💪

But as we say each week, it's the moments in between the activities that are just as special. 💙

Seeing the smiles on our Happy Humans' faces day after day, watching friendships develop and witnessing the connections they build with their support team is truly magical. Whether it's sharing a laugh, trying something new, encouraging one another or simply enjoying being together, these moments are what make it all worthwhile. 🥹🫶

Every participant has their own goals, strengths and support needs, but creating opportunities for everyone to feel included, build confidence and enjoy meaningful experiences is what we're all about!

It's more than just a program. It's about belonging, connection and making every day count. 💙✨

We know that everyone enjoys spending their weekends differently, and support should reflect that! 💙

Sometimes, a change of scenery, a little extra independence and the opportunity to try something new can make all the difference! ✨🫶

At The Happy Human Hub, our Short-Term Accommodation (STA) House offers participants the opportunity to enjoy a comfortable home-away-from-home experience, with space to relax, explore and make memories along the way. 🥰

Whether it’s enjoying a change of routine, spending time in a welcoming environment or building everyday living skills, our goal is to create opportunities for participants to feel comfortable, supported and included. 💙

🎤🎶 HUB CRAWL 💙✨

Last week, our Hub Crawl Happy Humans took centre stage and headed out for a night of KARAOKE! 🥳🎤 From singing along to favourite songs to sharing laughs and cheering each other on, it was a night full of fun, confidence and connection! 🫶🎶

At Hub Crawl, it’s about so much more than just heading out for a good time. It’s about creating opportunities for our Happy Humans to step outside their comfort zones, try new experiences, build confidence and form meaningful social connections. 💙

Whether you’re belting out your favourite song, encouraging a friend to have a go or simply enjoying the atmosphere together, every moment is an opportunity to grow, connect and feel part of something special! 🥹🌟

Our Thursday nights are all about good company, new experiences, building friendships and making memories — all in a welcoming space where everyone can be themselves! 💙

🎉 Hub Crawl is for adults aged 18+ and runs every Thursday night!

At The Happy Human Hub, we believe that growing up is all about discovering what you can do, trying new things and having the confidence to give things a go! 🥹🫶

Our Social Connection Club is about so much more than fun activities. It’s about creating a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where our younger Happy Humans can learn, grow and develop skills that help them become more independent! 💪✨

🍳 Learning practical life skills through cooking and everyday activities
🛍️ Building independence through community outings and real-world experiences
🤝 Developing communication, teamwork and social skills
🌈 Growing confidence by trying new things and celebrating achievements
💙 Making friendships and feeling safe to be themselves

Every child develops at their own pace, and we know that independence looks different for everyone. Sometimes it’s learning a new skill, sometimes it’s having the confidence to try something independently, and sometimes it’s simply feeling comfortable enough to join in. Every step forward matters! 🥰

Our goal is to provide a space where our Happy Humans feel supported, included and encouraged to be themselves — while building the skills and confidence they can carry into everyday life. 🌟

Because when children feel safe, supported and valued, they have the opportunity to discover just how much they can achieve! 💙

Every participant is different, and everyone’s support looks different. Each person has their own goals, interests, strengths and ways of engaging with the world. But when our group heads out into the community, shares an activity, laughs together and starts building genuine connections, we get to see something truly special. 💙

Whether it’s trying something new, enjoying an outing together or simply sharing a laugh with a friend, these little moments can mean so much! 🌟 Watching friendships form, confidence grow and participants feel included reminds us exactly why we love what we do.
