Our brief Telehealth appointments make it quick and convenient to get the care you need without coming into the practice.

Please note: Brief Telehealth appointments are suitable for simple requests only. Your doctor will advise if a longer consultation is required. To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, you must have had a face to face visit at the practice in the last 12 months.

📢 Consultation Fee Update
Effective 1 August 2026

At Karalta General Practice, we are committed to providing high-quality, thorough and compassionate healthcare to our community.

From 1 August 2026, our consultation fees will increase by $1.00.
This small adjustment helps us continue to provide the high standard of care our patients expect while supporting our doctors, nurses, staff, facilities and the ongoing delivery of quality general practice services.

Although Medicare rebates continue to provide valuable support, they no longer cover the increasing costs of delivering modern general practice. We have worked hard to keep this increase to a minimum.

We understand that after your GP appointment, you’re often keen to head home as soon as possible.before leaving, please remember to stop by reception to settle your account or provide your consent for bulk billing.

📱 For eligible Telehealth appointments, you will receive an SMS from HealthEngine after your consultation requesting your consent to bulk bill.

⏰ Consent must be provided within 24 hours of receiving the SMS. Without your consent, we are unable to process the bulk billing claim and a private account will need to be issued.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Your prompt response helps us keep the billing process smooth and efficient for everyone.
