This International Friendship Day, we’re reminded how important connection and support can be for our mental wellbeing.

A simple check-in, conversation, or reminder that someone isn’t alone can make more of a difference than we realise.

Whether it’s a friend, family member, colleague, or support network, having people around us who listen and care matters, especially during difficult times.

And if you’re struggling yourself, reaching out for support is an important step too. You don’t have to go through it alone.

Running on empty? 🧠💙

Feeling mentally exhausted, unmotivated, or like even small tasks take more effort than usual can be a sign that you’ve been under ongoing stress or strain.

Burnout and low mood don’t usually happen overnight - they build over time, often leaving people feeling drained and disconnected from how they normally function.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Support is available, and there are different treatment options that may help when things haven’t improved.

To speak with our friendly team, please call (02) 4314 7000.

In recognition of International Self-Care Day, this is your reminder to prioritise your wellbeing.

Self-care doesn’t need to be complicated - it can be as simple as taking a break, getting some fresh air, setting boundaries, or giving yourself permission to slow down.

In the middle of busy routines and responsibilities, it’s easy to put your own needs last. But looking after your mental wellbeing is just as important as everything else you manage each day.

Small moments of care can make a meaningful difference over time.

Depression can sometimes persist even after first-line treatments such as antidepressants or therapy. 🧠💙

This is known as treatment-resistant depression, and it’s more common than many people realise. It doesn’t mean recovery isn’t possible - it simply means different or additional treatment approaches may be needed.

Options like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) may be considered for people who haven’t experienced enough improvement with other treatments. TMS is a non-invasive, evidence-based therapy that targets areas of the brain involved in mood regulation.

If symptoms are ongoing, support is available, and there are still pathways forward.

If you are experiencing treatment-resistant depression, contact our friendly team at (02) 4314 7000 to discuss your options and learn more about TMS.

Self Care Tip of the Month 🌿

Get outside in natural light this winter. ☀️❄️

Shorter days and colder weather can affect mood, energy levels, sleep, and motivation more than many people realise. Even a small amount of daylight and fresh air each day can help support your mental wellbeing during the winter months.

Whether it’s a short walk, sitting outside with a coffee, or simply taking a moment away from screens, small habits can make a meaningful difference over time. 💙

Mid-year is a good time to pause and reflect. 🧠💙

Life can move quickly, and it’s easy to keep pushing forward without checking in with how you’re really feeling. Taking a moment to slow down and reflect can help you reconnect with your mental wellbeing and notice what you might need more of right now, whether that’s rest, support, or simply space to breathe.

If things have felt heavy lately, you don’t have to carry it alone. Support is available.

Winter can be a challenging time for mental health, with colder weather, shorter days, and changes to routine often affecting mood, motivation, and energy levels. ❄️💙

While everyone experiences winter differently, small habits can help support your mental wellbeing during the colder months:
• Spend time outdoors during daylight hours
• Keep a regular sleep routine
• Stay connected with supportive people
• Prioritise movement, even gentle movement
• Give yourself permission to slow down and rest

And most importantly - if you’re struggling, you don’t have to manage it alone. Support is available.
