International Day of the Midwife 2026 is today Tuesday, 5 May 2026. This year’s official global theme is “One Million More Midwives,” a campaign led by the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) to address a critical worldwide shortage of nearly one million midwifery professionals.
Where would we be without our midwifery colleagues who support us and our mother’s having babies? Thank you for all that you do every day, and every night 🙏🙏🙏

Christmas may have come & gone but as we welcome in the New Year I can’t help but be grateful for all the wonderful people that allow me to have the most amazing job. From the Mum’s & Dad’s who allow us to share the most precious moments of a new baby’s life, the staff at the hospitals and the rooms that help us to provide the care and to our families and friends who put up with us being socially unreliable. And as for this photo, thank you for allowing us to share this gorgeous photo of Denzel & Amira!
