Introducing Aunty Sonya, a proud Yorta Yorta woman and also one of our incredible clients that has recently screened with us in Shepparton as part of The Beautiful Shawl Project. 🫶

The Project is a community-led initiative delivered in partnership with Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation Inc (VACCHO), local Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and Aboriginal-led services.

When we asked Aunty Sonya what message she would like to give to Community, this is what she had to say. Thank you Aunty Sonya! 💗

We asked BreastScreen Victoria to pick a favourite clinic. Instead, they sent us their whole favourites folder... pictures and videos of 56+ clinics and mobile screening vans. From Ballarat to Bairnsdale, Daylesford to Dandenong or Caulfield to Caroline Springs, they’re all equally "the one".

Turns out, that’s the point. They're all free, all quick, and all doing the same job of finding breast cancer early, when it's easier to treat.

So maybe it's time your phone had your closest clinic saved too.

Find your local clinic and book a free breast screen: https://go.vic.gov.au/4e4LiDA

Introducing Robyn, one of the amazing nurse practitioners who is part of our Women's Health Mobile Clinic team. 💗

This International Day of Rural Women we sat down with Robyn to learn about the services that are offered as part of the Mobile Clinic, as well as barriers women and girls living rural and regionally may face to access essential healthcare services.

Today and everyday, we recognise the importance of access to healthcare for every one. 🫶

The service is for women and teenagers, and offers free, 45 minute confidential appointments. To learn more about the Women's Health Mobile Clinic, and where it will be visiting next head to the link below.

We are sharing new audio explainers in Arabic, English, Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish and Turkish across the MVA network to help communities understand when they are eligible for a free breast screen and why early detection matters.

These ready-to-air audio grabs are also available as audiogram videos, making them easy to share on social media and digital platforms.
