👣Meet Emily — the newest addition to the Prime Health Podiatry team!

You might notice something a little different next time you call and we can't get to the phone straight away — that's Emily, our new AI receptionist, stepping in to help.

We want to be upfront: Emily is AI, not one of our human team. We're trying something new here, using a bit of clever technology so that when Skye, Leia and the clinical team are flat out with patients, your call still gets answered instead of going to voicemail.

If you leave a message with Emily, don't worry — it'll reach us. Our reception team is in Mondays and Thursdays to return calls and messages, so that's when you can expect to hear back.

Like any new team member, Emily is still learning the ropes — and if we're honest, so are we! We might be a little slower picking up the new system than she is, so please bear with us while we get everything running smoothly.

Our goal is simple: make it easier to reach us and get the care you need, even on our busiest days. Thanks for being patient with us as we grow and try new things to look after you better.

Absolutely FANTASTIC news for Podiatry students! 🙌🏻

We did it! From July 2027, eligible podiatry students will receive payments of $338.60 weekly during their clinical and professional placements.

Podiatry is one of the 10 additional allied health professions where students will receive cost of living relief and be supported as our future healthcare workforce.

Thank you to our APodA members Beth Kerr and Blake Withers, and PhD candidate Elise Stevenson who along with our advocacy team campaigned with Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA) to expand the Commonwealth Prac Payments to all allied health students.

Thank you to the following for their support: Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Minister for Education Jason Clare MP, AHPA, Dr Helen Haines MP, Senator David Pocock, Dr Sophie Scamps MP, Dr Monique Ryan MP, Andrew Gee MP, Allegra Spender MP, Senator Fatima Payman and everyone who signed the petition.
