It’s Women’s Health Week. We know that the health and wellbeing of men can have a direct impact on the health and wellbeing of women and families. Families are an ecosystem and every person plays a part in how that ecosystem functions, and how it feels to everyone involved. When men and boys choose healthy and safe behaviours, we know it positively impacts the health and wellbeing of the women in their lives; partners, mothers, sisters and daughters.

SEPTEMBER IS SU***DE PREVENTION MONTH

This September we'll be talking about su***de prevention — but importantly, we’ll be talking about the things we can all do before someone reaches crisis point.

Throughout the month, we’ll share conversations around:

🤝 Connection & belonging — why mates, family, workplaces and community matter.

🤝 Speaking up — asking for support isn’t weakness, and sometimes one conversation can be the start of something better.

🤝 Finding the right support — from a chat and connection through to one-on-one support when you need it.

🤝 Looking out for each other — noticing when someone might not be themselves, checking in and making the time to listen.

🤝 Understanding the impact of su***de — remembering that behind every statistic is a person, a family, mates, workmates and a community.

Su***de prevention belongs to all of us.

We are incredibly grateful to the Tannum Crab Classic for this very generous $10,000 donation to Bob’s Garage.

Support like this helps us continue building a place where local men can connect, have a conversation and access support when life gets challenging — while strengthening the families and community around them.

As a not-for-profit, the support we receive from community organisations, businesses and events is incredibly important in helping us keep our services accessible and continue growing what we can offer here in Gladstone.
