One of the most powerful roles in the birth space is often played by the person standing quietly beside you 🤍

A supportive partner can’t take away the intensity of labour, but they can offer reassurance during moments of uncertainty, encouragement when you feel like giving up, and a familiar hand to hold through it all.

Birth is not only a transformative experience for the woman giving birth, but also for the people who love and support her. The gentle reminders, words of affirmation, advocacy, and unwavering presence can make all the difference.

To all the partners who show up, learn, listen, support, and love so fiercely, thank you. Your role matters more than you know.

Another beautiful chapter has come to an end, and my heart is so full reflecting on this journey with Megan and her precious baby girl, Sadie. 🤍

From pregnancy through to postpartum, it has been such a privilege to witness Megan’s strength, vulnerability, growth, and unwavering love as she stepped into motherhood.

There is something so special about being invited into such an intimate season of a family’s life. To share in the excitement, the uncertainty, the milestones, and the moments in between is something I never take for granted.

And sweet little Sadie... what a joy you are. Watching the bond between mother and daughter grow has been nothing short of beautiful.

Megan, thank you for trusting me to walk alongside you during this transformative time. Supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and beyond is a privilege, but connections like these are what make it truly meaningful.

Wishing you and Sadie all the love, laughter, and beautiful memories as you continue this journey together. ✨🤍

This morning was a beautiful reminder of the strength, love, and resilience that motherhood holds 💗

As midwives, we have the privilege of walking alongside women through some of the most transformative moments of their lives, from pregnancy to birth and into the postpartum journey. It is something we never take for granted.

Today we celebrate every mother, expecting mother, grieving mother, and every woman who nurtures and cares for others so deeply.

From the first appointment, to the growing bump, and then into those raw, beautiful postpartum days 🤍

There is something truly magical about caring for women all the way through. Watching the transformation, building trust, being a constant in a time that can feel so unknown, it’s a privilege I carry so deeply.

To then step into postpartum and continue that care, to support a woman as she finds her feet in motherhood, to remind her of her strength when she forgets… that is where the magic really settles in.

Continuity of care isn’t just care, it’s connection, safety, and being seen.

On International Day of the Midwife, I’m feeling incredibly grateful to do this work. To be invited into such intimate moments, to advocate, to support, and to witness women become mothers.

To see this beautiful lady through her pregnancy and seeing her today with her gorgeous little girl. It will never not feel like magic 🥰✨
