Discover your flow at our boutique Launceston studio. https://rb.gy/ahkfii Yogakind Studio. Kind to self. Kind to community.

Whether you're soaring in aerial yoga, flowing through vinyasa, unwinding in yin, mastering inversions or enjoying yoga with kids, there's something for everyone here. At Yogakind Studio, a portion of our earnings go back into the community. The best part is, our yogi family helps us decide what local charities to support. Yogakind Studio is the vision of Mel and her daughter Brienne. Both have a passion for yoga and wanted to combine this with their desire to give back to their community. After lots of brainstorming and discussions, Yogakind Studio was born! Mel has been practicing yoga for more than 15 years. A former gymnast and later becoming a qualified gymnastics coach, Mel took up yoga to maintain her flexibility and soon discovered the broader benefits of yoga on the mind and body. Mel completed her yoga teacher training in 2020 through Fly High Yoga at Satsang Yoga Sanctuary and is committed to continually expanding her knowledge of this peaceful and fulfilling practice. Mel loves watching families bond through yoga and has completed Kids Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher Training through Go Go Yoga for Kids. This was a great refresher to her earlier training as a gymnastics coach. Mel also has a current First Aid certificate and Working with Vulnerable People registration.

Is aerial yoga scary?
It can look a little intimidating from the outside… but it really doesn’t have to be. 😊
You don’t have to go upside down.
You don’t have to do tricks.
You don’t have to be flexible.
We’ll start with the basics, learn how to use the yoga belt and work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
And yes… there’ll be plenty of time for a bit of fun too. 🪽
4-week Intro to Aerial Yoga
Fridays | 9am | Starting 11 September
6 people maximum
Expressions of interest are open — message me if you’d like to give it a try.

✨ WANT TO TRY AERIAL YOGA? ✨
I’m thinking about running a 4-week Intro to Aerial Yoga course on Friday mornings at 9am, starting 11 September.
And if the words aerial yoga make you think “😳 absolutely not”... hear me out!
You don’t need any experience, you don’t need to be super bendy or strong, and inversions are completely optional.
We’ll learn the basics using our yoga belts, move, stretch, play around a little and - most importantly - have fun! 💛
🌿 Fridays at 9am
🌿 4-week introductory course
🌿 Maximum 6 people
🌿 No experience needed
🌿 Inversions optional
🌿 Perfect after school drop-off or for a flexible workday
I’m taking expressions of interest now and if I can fill the six spots, I’ll go ahead!

The little moments 🌊🌸
Words can’t describe how amazing I feel after yoga this morning at beautiful Tam O’Shanter, followed by a cold ocean dip with some fabulous friends.
I love that yoga can be about so much more than the practice itself - connection, laughter, slowing down, being present and enjoying the beautiful world around us.
Feeling very grateful for this gorgeous yoga community, beautiful places, thoughtful friends and all the moments that make life so good. 💙
And how special is this beautiful handmade pottery piece, made by one of my yoga friends to hold the homemade bliss balls I share after class? 🥰

I've been a little quiet on here lately, and I wanted to let you know why.
I've recently started a new role that has me travelling quite a bit while I settle in and find my new routine. While yoga has always been a passion and a hobby for me, life is a little busy right now!
Thank you for your patience and support. I fully intend to be back on the mat and offering classes again once things have settled down.
Until then, keep moving, keep breathing, and take care of yourselves. 🙏🧘‍♀️
