For years we’ve been told that carbohydrates are the problem.

Meanwhile, people are terrified of potatoes, fruit and dark chocolate... while happily eating protein bars, snack packs and “healthy” processed foods every day.

The issue isn’t carbohydrates.
The issue is being overfed while undernourished.

Real food brings more than calories to the table:
✓ Fibre
✓ Vitamins
✓ Minerals
✓ Antioxidants
✓ Satiety
✓ Enjoyment

Most people don’t need to eat less food.

They need to eat more of the foods that actually nourish them.

Stop fearing potatoes.
Stop fearing fruit.
Stop fearing carbohydrates.
Start focusing on nutrient density.

Tonight as my client was finishing her session, she expressed how bad the last few weeks were.

By the time she got into her car, we cane up with heaps of interesting & different ways to approach her food that she didn’t even know were options!!

Your feelings, emotional eating & bad habits don’t just magically disappear when you set a goal or work with someone. The point is to work on them together ❤️

Don’t create a ceiling for yourself & avoid taking opportunities that could be the ones that her you to your goal!

You don’t need to choose between having a life and achieving your goals.

One of the biggest shifts I made was stopping the “I’ll start on Monday” cycle and learning how to make my lifestyle work WITH my goals instead of against them.

I’m currently 6kg down and I still go out for meals multiple times a week.

The goal isn’t eat bland, local everything.

The people who get the best long-term results aren’t the ones who avoid every social event.

They’re the ones who learn how to navigate them ❤️

With the rise of aggressive dieting, chronic calorie restriction, and rapid weight-loss interventions, I worry that many people are chasing a lighter body without understanding the long-term cost.

Muscle mass naturally declines as we age.
Bone density naturally declines as we age.

Why would we want to accelerate that process?

Your goal shouldn’t be to become the smallest version of yourself.

It should be to become the strongest, healthiest, most resilient version of yourself.

A successful fat-loss phase isn’t just about losing weight.

It’s about preserving muscle.
Protecting bone.
Supporting your metabolism.

And building a body that still serves you decades from now.

Because one day you’ll stop caring about your goal weight.

But you’ll never stop caring about your ability to move, train, travel, play with your grandkids, and remain independent.

Weight loss is easy to celebrate.

The tissues you’re sacrificing to get there deserve just as much attention. 🦴💜
