Today is Día de Mu***os, the Day of the Dead.

Across Mexico, families build ofrendas: altars covered in marigolds, candles, photos and the favourite foods of the people they've lost.

It isn't a sad day.

It's a welcome home.

Remembering someone doesn't stop after the funeral. Light a candle tonight. Cook their favourite meal. Pour the drink they always ordered. Say their name out loud.

After the cremation, the ashes need time to cool before they're carefully processed and returned to us.

Around seven to ten days later, your funeral director will personally bring them to you. Not a courier. The same person who answered your first phone call.

If you need the ashes sooner, tell us. We can arrange cremation elsewhere, or request an urgent cremation where that's appropriate. We'll talk through the options and any extra cost first.
