After a break from holding groups, I'm offering an intimate in-person breathwork evening on the Mornington Peninsula 🌿

This offering brings together my background as a therapist (19 years in mental health) with trauma-informed breathwork practices that support grounding, emotional release, reconnection and rest.

This isn't about performing, forcing catharsis, or trying to "fix" yourself.
It's a space to soften.
To breathe.
To reconnect with yourself beneath the noise of everyday life.

Think cosy socks, blankets, gentle music and a nervous system exhale. A little bit like a slumber party meets the breath!

A chance to step out of the rush for a few hours and come home to yourself.

I'd love for you to join us.

✨ 7:00pm–8:30pm

I'm still not sure exactly what I'll post here but this is a start. Some things I've been up to the past few years🌿

A bit of travel.
Burnout recovery.
Grief and loss (lost my precious Memaw, Papa and stepdadπŸ˜”).
Turning 40πŸ₯³
Becoming an Australian citizen.
Camping trips.
Breathwork trainings.
Reconnecting with nature and the land (and birds… apparently this is what happens in your 40s πŸ˜‚πŸ¦).
Finding a beautiful new office space that no longer requires a 1+ hour commute each way…plus the naturopath there keeps bees 🐝

A lot of slowing down and being present. A mix of really hard things and super beautiful things, at the exact same time. Thus is life and the human condition, I suppose πŸ™ƒ

Honestly, I’m still figuring out what this next chapter looks like. But it feels nice to be back here sharing bits of it again.

What have you been up to?

A quiet little return to this space 🌿

I stepped away from social media a few years ago during a period of burnout… some of you may have noticed, some of you may not have πŸ˜‚ I don’t take for granted the privilege of having space to slow down, rest, and rebuild.

While I’m still deeply passionate about therapy, trauma work, body image healing and eating disorder work, my work has also expanded into increased embodiment and breathwork. And I'll be sharing all about it!

So if you’re still here after all this time… hi πŸ‘‹πŸΌ
And if you’re new here, welcome🫢

I missed y'all πŸ™‚

Lisa Dahl (my guest for today) and I spoke so long that I decided to make this a 2 part episode!

In part 2, we discuss mindful meal planning and meal prepping, practical ways to implement this and overcoming barriers to this.

We discussed the below resources:

1. Plan to Eat app (free two week trial period)
2. β€œRaising an Intuitive Eater” by Summer Brooks and Amee Severson
3. β€œGentle Nutrition” by Rachael Hartley

I love this conversation so much!

A bit about Lisa:

Shame can be an intensely painful emotion and is often tied to not feeling enough...enough for love, attention, affection or kindness. The antidote to shame: connection, safety and self-compassion. If you'd like to learn more, check out my Body and Food Freedom podcast episodes #3, #13 or #22.

Sometimes the typical body neutral affirmations fall short for me and I don't think I'm alone in this. I think this is especially true for people with chronic illness, trauma or people with bodies where big changes have occurred.
