What a spectacular day to explore Werribee Gorge! The sunshine brought the landscape alive, with the rugged gorge stretching out around us, towering rocky cliffs, golden grasses and native bushland creating an incredible backdrop for our adventure. You forget that this incredible place is so close to our home.
The trail wound its way through dramatic rocky landscapes, along the gorge floor and through peaceful sections of bush, with stunning views opening up around every corner. The contrast of the deep gorge, weathered rock formations and brilliant blue sky made this a perfect day to explore the outdoors.
And it certainly wasn’t an easy stroll! We tackled big hills, steep climbs and rocky paths, scrambling our way over the rocks in sections and using our hands to hold onto a wire so we didn’t fall into the water made for a fun filled section.
There were plenty of moments to stop, catch our breath and take in the incredible views — rugged cliffs, winding waterways and rocky outcrops . A beautiful slice of Australian bushland.
A challenging, scenic and incredibly rewarding day on the trail, filled with fresh air, sunshine, laughter and great company.
