We are a referral-based (by appointment!) service with clinics in Osborne Park and Bunbury. Everyone has the right to sit comfortably and having a disability doesn't mean forgoing a sense of adventure in life. Motum is a Western Australian business owned and run by therapists and postural specialists. We stock an extensive range of clever, off-the-shelf seating and mobility equipment for infants, children and adults.

WE ♥️ HANDOVER DAYS

Ron's old Klaxon (Klaxon) had done a whopping 15,000km (that's the equivalent of circumnavigating Australia 🦘 🌏!).

There had been many hands/hours involved in keeping the old one functioning 🛠️ and Ron mobile 💪🏼 while waiting for this new one to be funded and arrive, which made this handover a particularly special one!

While we'll miss his regular visits, we are excited that he has a new piece of kit that he can rely on to pound the pavements of WA, and potentially beyond!

HERE WE GO AGAIN! 🤓

The Big A.T. Day Out is coming back again this September…and we are DELIGHTED to see it in so many therapist's calendars already! In fact, we hit a new record - the early bird ticket allocation sold out in just over 24 hours after registrations opened on Monday morning. 😲 🙌🏼

For those who don't know - this event is Motum's way of giving back to our community. We are passionate about unlocking access to quality clinical education, so, once every two years, we team up with some of our very knowledgeable friends and colleagues to deliver a full day of professional development for OTs and Physios working with people with complex disabilities.

To our clients and families - feel free to mention this to your own therapists, we'd love see them there, and we hope that you'll benefit from the new insights and knowledge they come away with.

To our therapist friends - a big thank you to those who have already registered, and to those who haven't yet but are thinking about it, our advice is not to wait too long, as places are limited and we don't want you to miss out!

SPREADING THE JOY

Seeing Emmi in her Josi-Go stroller really shows why different types of assistive technology are vital for achieving access and inclusion.

This little video of Emmi and her delight at completing her first half marathon with her Dad, absolutely won our hearts (and saw her claim second place) in our My Motum Moves competition at the end of last year.

GOING WILD

Introducing our recent competition WILD CARD winner Joey (AKA. 🙌🏼)

We had SO MANY awesome entries however this contribution from our long-time client Joey took an early lead when ‘Wild card’ votes were being awarded.

As noted by multiple judges (eg. Motum team members) seeing Joey using his Outback 4x4 to tow tree branches while listening to drum and bass was a hoot, as was his approach to lawn mowing (click back to our profile to see this as we’ve made the photo of this the reel’s cover pic).

Merry Christmas and happy festivities from the Motum team! 💕

Yesterday we came together as a group to sign off on another big year...and also to celebrate Ken's (second 😅) retirement!

While Ken may have dodged a photo we all donned one of him in his honour! The question is...will we be 'Kenough" without our cool, calm Ken troubleshooting in the background?! 😜

A special shout out to Tom + Dale's commitment to bringing the Christmas cheer too! 🤭

Célia from our Workshop Team has put forward a very compelling argument... Our techs would LOVE to see the wheelchairs that they carefully build and repair filled with YOU and the fun you have in them!

It has been AMAZING to see so many "My Motum Moves" entries coming in so far and we won't lie, our team has an extra special spring in their step because of it!

Over the past few months, we’ve been giving you a peek behind the curtain — sharing what goes on behind-the-scenes at Motum.

Now it’s your turn!

We’d love for you to share a snapshot into your world — and show us how your Motum-supplied equipment helps you live, play, work, travel, compete, and celebrate the moments that matter most.

That’s right… the MY MOTUM MOVES Competition is back for 2025! 🎉

📸 How to enter:
You can enter by sharing photos and/or videos showing what you’ve been up to since handover day. Your equipment can be any age (it doesn’t need to have been supplied in 2025), and just needs to have been scripted by one of our team.

Once you’ve selected your entry, you can contribute in one of three ways:

🏷️ Tag us in your photos and videos – you’ll just need to make sure your account is either set to ‘Public’ or that we are following you so that we can see it.
