A bit of fun in the clinic yesterday as the team trialled some new exoskeleton and robotic-assistive technology.
These systems are designed to support or guide movement, which may make them a useful tool in certain rehab settings. Depending on the person and the goal, technology like this could one day help with things like assisted walking practice, improving movement quality, building confidence with loading, and allowing more controlled, repetitive rehab work.
It is not about replacing hands-on care, exercise, or good clinical reasoning. It is about exploring tools that may help us deliver rehab in another way when appropriate.
