PRK surgery uses an excimer laser to reshape the surface of the cornea and, in this way, treat various vision conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

✅Myopia: The laser is used to flatten the cornea, allowing light to focus on the retina instead of in front of it.
✅Hyperopia: the cornea is steeper, allowing light to focus on the retina rather than in front of it.
✅Astigmatism: The laser is used to correct the asymmetry of the cornea.
✅Presbyopia: the laser adjusts one eye for near vision and the other for distance vision, resulting in monovision.
