Today we recognised R U OK? Day across our sites, as a reminder that even a simple conversation can make a difference 💛🖤

Staff showed their support by wearing splashes of yellow, holding morning and afternoon teas, and checking in with each other over sweet treats.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital was fortunate to receive a visit from Olly, the therapy dog, who brought comfort and joy to many. Reminding us that sometimes even a small interaction can brighten someone’s day.

The activities form part of our focus on staff wellbeing and providing an inclusive and supportive workplace.

A big welcome to our five newly-qualified graduate nurses and 19 newly-qualified midwives who recently commenced their career at our Women and Newborn Health Service ⭐🎓

The university graduates will spend the next year rotating and gaining experience in a range of areas across King Edward Memorial Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital Maternity wards, with some also spending time in regional areas.

Morning tea looks different for patients at Osborne Park Hospital. 🫖🍵

The new range of options is the result of a collaborative project between catering, dietetics, speech pathology, allied health and teams on the wards.

After months of planning, testing and consultation the menu options have enhanced the patient experience.

While morning tea snacks make up only a small part of a patient's overall dietary intake, every option is aligned with nutritional standards while supporting patient wellbeing and satisfaction.

The new snacks have already received enthusiastic feedback from patients and staff. 👏

Congratulations to 18 midwives and six nurses who officially graduated from their year-long Newly Qualified Midwife and Nurse Programs with the Women and Newborn Health Service. 👏

The group commenced their graduate year at King Edward Memorial and Osborne Park Hospital's in August last year and have gained experience in various clinical areas throughout the health service.

The national movement focuses on the issues faced by LGBTQIA+ youth and encourages the community to show support and advocate for their right to be proudly who they are.

By wearing purple, Australians demonstrate to young people that that they are seen, valued and supported.

Fifty years of making a difference with the School Dental Service 🦷🎉

For half a century, our School Dental Service has been helping children and young people across Western Australia build healthy oral health habits that can last a lifetime.

Since its beginnings in the 1970s, the service has supported generations of WA families through preventive care, education and access to public dental services, helping countless children smile with confidence.

To mark this significant milestone, past and present team members and special guests came together today to celebrate 50 years of care, connection and community.

A big thank you to our dedicated dental professionals, support staff and educators who have contributed to the School Dental Service's legacy over the past five decades. Your commitment has helped create healthier futures for generations of Western Australians.
