🚗💨 Goldfields Road Trip Done Right! 🏗️⛏️

LLloyd Bucci& Andre spent the latter half of this week out in the Goldfields, catching up with some of our valued clients and meeting a number of potential new partners along the way.

There’s nothing better than getting out on the road, having genuine conversations, understanding our clients’ challenges, and seeing firsthand where we can add value. This is where relationships are built and opportunities are created.

I genuinely thrive in this environment — connecting with great people, learning about their operations, and exploring how we can continue to support the industry.

Yesterday some of our newer ORCA crew members undertook their Verification of Competency (VOC’s) with the legends at
DDiligent Industry Training Pty LtdHaving Assessors like Robert & Brett who come directly from the crane industry, makes a massive difference. Real industry experience, real knowledge, and real understanding of what it takes to operate safely and professionally on site. 💪🏗️

At ORCA Recruitment we’re big believers in continual development, upskilling, and making sure our crew are set up for success.

💙 Huge shoutout to the ORCA crew who got around the HBF Run for a Reason over the weekend.

Was awesome seeing the team outside of work gear for once — just a good bunch of people getting behind a great cause, having a laugh and pushing themselves a bit. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We only did the little 3km this year, but pushing for the bigger one next year!

Proud of this crew every day, on and off the job. 💙🐋

Another awesome day with the ORCA pod! 🏗️🐋

Today, members of the ORCA team were invited to attend one of our monthly practical crane training days. This month’s focus was on Grove All Terrain cranes and Terex Franna cranes, giving the crew hands-on familiarisation and practical operating exposure in real-world conditions.

These training days are all about investing in our people, building confidence, strengthening skills, and helping raise industry standards across the board. Opportunities like this provide valuable experience that supports both personal growth and safer, more capable worksites for the future.

A huge thank you to our internal ORCA trainers who continue to dedicate their time and knowledge to helping develop our crew 👏 Your experience and willingness to mentor is what makes days like this so valuable.

And of course… topped off with an epic Subway platter for keeping the team fuelled up for morning tea too 🌯🥤😄

🔥 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS 🔥

Today we celebrate a massive milestone for two lifelong mates, cousins, and industry professionals — Lloyd Bucci & Andre Bucci — who have both successfully completed and passed their S26 Statutory Supervisor exams 👏💪

From growing up side by side as kids, to entering the crane and rigging industry together back in the mid-2000s… these two have pretty much tackled every chapter of life and industry shoulder to shoulder.
Like most things in life — they did this together too. 🤝

The S26 isn’t just another ticket. It represents leadership, responsibility, experience, and the ability to guide crews safely and professionally in some of the highest-risk environments in Australia.

This achievement is the result of YEARS of hard work, long hours, learning, setbacks, growth, and dedication to the industry they both love.
