Today, we celebrated Trevor’s birthday – wishing you a very happy birthday, Trevor! 🎂🎈

We also enjoyed celebrating all of our June birthdays, sharing plenty of smiles, laughter, and birthday cheer together. 🎉🥳

To top it all off, our morning bus trip took us to Port Macquarie Airport, where everyone had a great time spotting planes and watching the airport activity. 🚌✈️👀

Position: Aged Care Staff

Shift: Night Shift Only

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Aged Care Support Workers to join our team for night shifts only. The successful candidates will provide high-quality care and support to elderly residents in a safe and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist residents with personal care and hygiene needs
* Provide support with mobility and comfort during the night
* Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to their needs promptly
* Maintain accurate records and report any concerns
* Ensure a safe, clean, and caring environment

Requirements:

* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent (preferred)
* Previous experience in aged care is an advantage
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
* Current Police Check and relevant clearances
* Ability to work independently during night shifts

🌟 Another Wonderful Day of Fun & Friendship! 🌟

Our residents have been keeping active and making memories with a fantastic range of activities! 💙

🏃‍♀️ We started with some gentle exercises to keep everyone moving and feeling great.
🎳 There was plenty of laughter during indoor bowling and friendly competition at bingo.
🚌 We also enjoyed a special bus trip to Port Macquarie Airport, where residents watched planes take off and land at the airport ✈️ and visited Settlement Point, hoping to spot some dolphins in the beautiful waterways 🐬.

It’s these moments of activity, connection, and adventure that make every week so special. ❤️

Our activity highlight was a lively game of Family Feud! 🏆 There were plenty of laughs, friendly competition, and fantastic teamwork as residents and staff put their thinking caps on and had a great time together.

Days like these remind us that it’s the special moments, shared laughter, and celebrations with friends that make our community feel like family. ❤️

🎹 A wonderful day of music, connection, and activity throughout our community today!

Residents enjoyed the beautiful sounds of Dawn playing the piano on the ground floor, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. 🎶

The fun didn’t stop there, with a variety of activities taking place across the facility all day long. From social gatherings and creative pursuits to games and conversations, there was something for everyone to participate in and enjoy.

It’s always lovely to see our residents staying active, engaged, and connected while sharing special moments together. 💙

What a wonderful day at our aged care home! 🎉

A very special happy birthday to Pamela, who celebrated her birthday with us today. We hope your day was filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of happy memories. 🎂🎈

Our gentlemen also enjoyed their monthly pub lunch outing at the Settlers Inn, sharing good food, great company, and plenty of stories along the way. 🍽️🍻

Back at home, residents had fun participating in a lively game of Bingo, keeping both minds and spirits active. 🎲

We also enjoyed our regular exercise session, helping everyone stay active and energized, followed by music playing throughout the day, creating a cheerful atmosphere for all to enjoy. 🎶

Days like these remind us how important friendship, fun, and community are. ❤️

🎉 Happy Birthday to Margaret! 🎂 We were delighted to celebrate her special day and share in the joy of this wonderful occasion. Wishing Margaret a year filled with happiness, good health, and many treasured moments with family and friends.

Residents then enjoyed a fun and active day filled with indoor table tennis, ball games, and group exercises. These activities encouraged movement, coordination, and plenty of laughter while bringing everyone together in a positive and engaging environment.

It was wonderful to see residents participating, supporting one another, and enjoying the benefits of staying active. Days like these help promote wellbeing, social connection, and a strong sense of community.

Today we celebrated two very special birthdays with lots of smiles, laughter, and good company. We hope Ken and June enjoyed their special day surrounded by friends and well-wishers.

Following the birthday celebrations, residents put their knowledge to the test with a fun and engaging King’s Birthday Quiz 👑🧠. There was plenty of friendly competition, great teamwork, and lots of interesting facts shared along the way.

A wonderful day filled with celebration, connection, and community spirit. ❤️

An upgrade to Port Macquarie Base Hospital right next door to us is fantastic news. Enhanced healthcare services and improved facilities will mean better outcomes and greater support for our residents and the wider community.

Health Infrastructure is planning a $265 million upgrade to Port Macquarie Base Hospital, including a new four-storey Inpatient Unit and an expanded Emergency Department to better support the community.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS AND VISITORS:
External site investigations will take place in the proposed Inpatient Unit area at the back of the hospital from Tuesday 9 – Tuesday 23 June, from 7:00am – 5:00pm (weekdays).

There will be:

👉 No impact to hospital operations or internal areas
👉 No changes to hospital access or public traffic conditions
👉 Emergency and critical access maintained at all times
👉 Temporary changes to pedestrian access in some external areas – please follow signage and directions
👉 Temporary restricted access to the yarning circle, footpath and some staff parking.
👉 Some noise and minor fumes from equipment
👉 Minimal vibration and dust.
