EMpower Pathways is currently seeking passionate and reliable Support Workers to join our growing team.

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to participants, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing in everyday life.

Key Responsibilities
-Personal care & daily living support
- Community access & social engagement
- Emotional support & companionship
- Implementing care plans and documentation
- Supporting participants to achieve their goals

Availability Requirements
- Must be available for a rotating roster
- Includes days, nights, weekends & overnight shifts

What We’re Looking For
-Compassionate, patient, and reliable individuals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Current driver’s licence

We are now taking referrals for our 5-Week Cooking Program!

This will commence Thursday 9th of July-

This hands-on program focuses on:
✅ Cooking budget-friendly, home-cooked meals
✅ Kitchen hygiene practices
✅ Understanding cross-contamination
✅ Food storage and safety
✅ Developing safe and practical cooking skills

Whats included?
- Cook book
- Ingredients for food
- Take home meal

Happy Birthday to EMpower Pathways’ very first Daily Support Hours participant, Brad 🎉

Brad was with us back when I was still a sole trader, and over the last 3 years we have truly been through so much together. It has been such a blessing to advocate for Brad, to earn his trust, and to watch him achieve goals at his own pace and in his own time.

Brad is a very shy and timid person, so moments like this are extra special. Thanks to the wonderful joys of AI, we were able to turn what was once just a rare haircut photo into something beautiful for his lovely Mum.....and she absolutely loved it 💙

Brad isn’t about the big things. Hes not about the cakes, the outings, or even the words. But to love Brad, support Brad, and be trusted by him in return is truly a beautiful blessing.

So as you all know Emmalee does absolutely nothing for herself and is always giving and making time for others.
Over the next month she will be travelling overseas to do something for herself and we are supporting her every step of the way.
In her absence we are definitely going to struggle but we want to make this next few weeks as smooth as we can for everyone involved.
With Emmalee being away I was planning to step up and fill in, but as luck would have it my placement for my uni degree has also fallen within these dates.
So for the next 2 weeks we will be limited with phone calls, however, the phone will be manned by me when I am not at placement.

Please know we will get back to you when we can 💜
in the event of an emergency please use emergency/crisis services as needed.

We really are wishing Emmalee all the best on this (probably) once in a lifetime trip cause we never will want her to leave again. But be mindful we are doing the best we can in her absence and will get back to you as soon as possible.
