Simply Better Health – Two Fantastic Weeks of Learning, Connection and Wellbeing!

Our Simply Better Health program is off to a wonderful start, with two engaging and informative sessions already completed.

Week 1 featured our friends from Food Solutions, who shared practical advice on the benefits of healthy eating. Participants learned how eating well doesn't need to be complicated, with simple tips and demonstrations that can easily be incorporated into everyday life at home.

Week 2 focused on the power of connection, lead by our social worker Deanna Maunick, leading an insightful discussion on the importance of socialisation and maintaining meaningful relationships. The session sparked great conversations and highlighted the positive impact that connection can have on our overall health and wellbeing.

The response to the program has been overwhelming, and we are delighted to see so many community members embracing the opportunity to learn, connect and improve their health.

We are now looking forward to this Thursday's session, where Dr Con Zois will explore one of the most important pillars of good health, sleep. From improving energy levels and mood to supporting long-term health, quality sleep plays a vital role in helping us live our best lives.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us so far. We can't wait to see you this Thursday as we continue our journey towards living simply, better.

One more rehearsal before the spotlight shines once again!

The incredible St Luke’s Care Memory Lane Choir gathered for their final rehearsal ahead of their next major public performance at the Australian Dementia Research Forum on Monday 1 June at the Hyatt Regency Sydney.

This remarkable choir continues to inspire audiences everywhere they go from TEDx Sydney, the State Theatre, Sydney Town Hall, NIDA and the Hayes Theatre, proving that music has the power to connect, uplift and bring joy at every stage of life.

More than just a choir, Memory Lane is a community built on friendship, purpose, confidence and belonging. For families living with dementia, these moments of connection and shared experience are truly life-changing.

To our beautiful performers: sing from the rooftops, enjoy every moment on stage, and make us proud once again.

Making decisions about the healthcare of a loved one can be one of life’s most emotional and challenging responsibilities.

Did you know that consent is required before a health professional can provide medical treatment or healthcare? In most situations, people can make these decisions for themselves. However, there may be times when illness, injury or impaired decision-making capacity means they are unable to do so.

Understanding who can make decisions, what rights individuals have, and how families can best support their loved ones is incredibly important.

This latest resource provides helpful guidance to support families and carers navigating healthcare decision-making with confidence, compassion and clarity.

Healthy ageing is about more than just living longer, it’s about living well.

The choices we make each day can have a powerful impact on our physical health, mental wellbeing, independence and quality of life as we age.

At St Luke’s Care, we believe in supporting holistic wellbeing through the six pillars of healthy living:
