Today, the Stirling GP team are highlighting Prostate Cancer Awareness month.
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian men, affecting 1 in 5 individuals in their lifetime. Because early-stage prostate cancer often shows no symptoms, regular health checks are vital for early detection.
Men over 50—or over 40 with a family history—should talk to their doctor about PSA testing, as catching the disease early dramatically increases survival rates.
