👁️✨ How does the eye actually work?
Think of your eye like a camera. Light enters through the front of the eye, passes through the cornea and lens, and is focused onto the retina at the back of the eye. The retina then sends signals to your brain, which turns them into the images you see every day.
When light focuses in the wrong place, vision can become blurry:
🔹 Myopia (short-sightedness) - distant objects appear blurry
🔹 Hyperopia (long-sightedness) - close-up tasks can be more difficult
🔹 Astigmatism - vision may appear blurred or distorted at any distance
The good news? Modern vision correction options can often help bring light back into focus, giving you clearer vision and greater freedom from glasses or contact lenses.
Your eyes do the hard work every second of every day. Understanding how they work is the first step towards looking after them. 👁️💙
