Mother’s Day 🩷
Mother’s Day can land in a lot of different ways. For some, it feels connected and meaningful and for others, it might feel tender, complicated, or quietly heavy.
I’m often mindful that days like today don’t just live in our thoughts, they show up in our bodies too. A tight chest. A sense of flatness. Restlessness. Warmth. Numbness.
Something hard to name.
Love. Grief. Longing. Relief. Disconnection.
Sometimes all in the same breath. It’s not a simple day for everyone, for those missing their mum, holding grief recent or long held, navigating complex relationships, wanting to be a mum, choosing not to be, or mothering in ways that aren’t often seen.
There isn’t one story here.
If you notice something stirring today you don’t have to fix it or explain it away. Maybe just pause and ask:
🫶🏼 what feels most true for me right now?
🫶🏼 what might support me, even a little?
And as much as you can, be gentle with yourself in whatever shows up.
