Natural Cough Remedy! 🌻

🧅 1 organic onion (red or brown)
🍯 Raw organic honey

Dice the onion and place in a glass jar. Pour enough honey over until it's completely covering the onion. Close the lid and set aside for 6-8 hours or overnight.

Adults can take a teaspoon up to 4-5 times and children over 1 year old can take up to 1/2 teaspoon maximum 3-4 times daily as required.

You can also add crushed garlic if you like. This mixture will keep for up to a week in the fridge.

Shiitake Mushroom Soup 🍄

Great for boosting your immunity!

1 tbsp olive oil
160g fresh shiitake mushrooms (or 80g dried organic) cut in quarters
1 large red chilli (optional)
1 tbsp grated or finely sliced ginger
4 cloves crushed garlic
4 chopped scallions use everything the white and green parts (or 2 Eschallots)
1 litre yeast free liquid chicken stock (eg Maggie Beer liquid stock or bone broth)
2 tbsps coconut aminos sauce
Juice of half a lemon and it’s zest (zest only if organic)
1 grated organic carrot

Sauté olive oil, garlic, ginger, chilli, scallions. Add sh*take mushrooms until soft. Add stock. Boil then reduce to simmer. Add lemon juice and carrot and cook for a few more minutes. Before serving add black pepper and zest.

A tray-bake or sheet-pan dinner is an easy way to eat healthy when you are busy!

Simply chop your vegetables, toss with olive oil and seasonings and spread on an oven safe tray.

Top with protein of your choice - individual portions are needed here (think sausages, chicken drumsticks, lamb chops etc)

Cook in a moderate oven until done.

You can then add sauces, condiments or green leafy vegetables. Try a dollop of pesto or hummus!

In Australia, more than 421,000 people are currently living with dementia, and this number is expected to rise to 1.1 million by 2058 if preventative and health-changing interventions are not implemented.
