Half Moon Pose is not about balance. It's about listening.

Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon Pose) is quite the balancing act, a dance between strength, focus, and grace. It asks us to find steadiness in the midst of movement, to stay grounded while expanding in every direction.

Start by softening, bending your front knee deeply to bring your centre of gravity down. As your body begins to find its rhythm, your core will naturally awaken to hold you steady.

From there, slowly begin to lengthen your standing leg and expand out, through the crown of your head, the heel of your lifted foot, and the fingertips of your top hand.

✨ The magic of this pose ✨

Half Moon strengthens the core, glutes, spine, and legs, while opening the chest, groins, and hamstrings. It builds focus and stability, calms the mind, and helps ease tension, anxiety, and even digestive discomfort.

Nicole shares the beginnings of her teaching journey—starting in a traditional yoga school where everyone was expected to move the same, align the same, and look the same. Back then, you were not allowed to question it.

But once she began teaching real people with real bodies, something shifted.

✨ She saw that no two bodies are the same.
✨ That alignment isn't one-size-fits-all.

This sparked a journey of curiosity, a deeper look into anatomy, and a passion for honouring each student's unique experience.

🧘‍♂️ Meditation is More Than Just Sitting Still

Rod explains that meditation is a dynamic, pulsating interplay between the subtle aspects of our inner world and how we interact with the outer world. Through meditation, we begin to notice how our internal state shapes our experiences and gets reflected in our daily lives.

As you practice, you start to feel this shift, how the calm and awareness you cultivate on the cushion influence how you move through the world.

Tag someone who could benefit from this wisdom, or share with a fellow meditator!

✨ Your body is a sacred pathway of energy.

In yogic philosophy, the chakras are not just symbols — they are portals of consciousness, guiding us from the physical to the subtle, from the self to the soul.

Beginning at the base and rising upward through the spine:

🌱 Root — Muladhara: Foundation, safety, belonging
🔥 Sacral — Svadhisthana: Creation, desire, flow
🌊 Solar Plexus — Manipura: Willpower, identity, inner fire
💚 Heart — Anahata: Love, compassion, expansion
🔵 Throat — Vishuddha: Truth, expression, purity
💙 Third Eye — Ajna: Insight, intuition, perception
💜 Crown — Sahasrara: Awakening, unity, divine connection

As energy rises through these centres, we move from survival to
transcendence — from ‘I am’ to ‘I am one with all.’

Ayurvedic secret for gentle lentils 🌿

Lentils, like split yellow moong dal, red lentils, or split mung beans, are a part of Ayurvedic cooking. They’re light, nourishing, and an excellent source of plant-based protein that’s easy on the digestive system when prepared mindfully.

One key step is skimming off the foam that rises to the top while cooking. In Ayurveda, this frothy layer is seen as ama, a build-up of impurities that can lead to bloating or sluggish digestion.

✨ This tip makes your lentils easier to digest.
