For many of our students, training with InYoga is not just about learning to teach yoga; it's a deeply personal and transformative journey.

Each training creates a space where people feel safe to be seen, to open up, and to connect, not just to the practice, but to themselves and each other.

Through guided self-enquiry, embodied learning, and meaningful community, our students walk away with more than a certification; they leave with clarity, confidence and lasting friendships.

Learn from Nicole and Rod, two of Australia's most respected yoga teachers with over 40 years of combined experience guiding this work.

In Ayurveda, the doshas are the three fundamental energies that govern the body and mind. Vata (movement), Pitta (transformation) and Kapha (structure).

We each have all three, and they move in and out of balance throughout our lives. Understanding their qualities helps us recognise where we're thriving and where we may need a little support. 🌿

There's are transitions in life where this understanding helps us move with easy and grace. Perimenopause and menopause bring real shifts in the body, less restful sleep, thinner patience, foggier thinking, a body that feels like it's playing by new rules. Most of us arrive here underprepared, often told to just push through it.

✨ We believe there's another way. ✨ Join us for Your Second Spring, our 9 week Ayurveda and yoga journey for thriving through perimenopause, menopause and beyond, starting October 6.

Ayurveda teaches us that food is one of our most powerful daily tools for balance.

1️⃣ The power of mindful eating
Every bite is a chance to find balance and vitality. Cooling foods soothe fiery Pitta, warming choices kindle sluggish Kapha, and grounding, nourishing meals bring ease to Vata.

2️⃣ Eat with the seasons
Let your plate become a canvas of colours, flavours and textures. Savour fresh, locally sourced produce and let nature's rhythm guide what you reach for.

3️⃣ Dive into spices
Ayurveda's flavour-filled medicine cabinet. Turmeric's anti-inflammatory magic, ginger's warmth and cumin's digestion-boosting properties infuse not just taste, but wellbeing.

4️⃣ Explore the six tastes
Sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent each play a role in nourishing the body comprehensively. A balanced plate draws from all six.

5️⃣ Food as self-love
With Ayurveda, eating becomes an act of care, a journey of healing and a celebration of life.

This kind of nourishment matters at every stage of life, but especially through the hormonal shifts of perimenopause and menopause, when the body starts asking for a different kind of support.

That's the heart of Your Second Spring, our 9-week Ayurveda and yoga journey for thriving through this transition, starting October 6.

This is an invitation to arrive, just as you are. ✨

Get comfortable, seated or lying down, in whatever way feels right for you, and listen to this simple meditation drawn from the Radiance Sutras.

In this sutra, the spine becomes a gateway. A channel of radiant emptiness. A living thread of space, time and vastness.

Let Nicole's voice gently guide you into this inner landscape. Notice the energy of the spine, and remember the spaciousness that already lives within you.

If moments like this leave you wanting more, join us for Meditate For Life, our 5-week online course this October.

The Yamas and Niyamas are ten simple principles from yoga philosophy that quietly shape how we move through everyday life, on the mat and off it.

The Yamas guide how we treat others: truthfulness, non-violence, moderation, integrity and non-attachment. Small shifts that bring more grace and compassion into our relationships and actions.

The Niyamas guide how we treat ourselves: cleanliness, contentment, self-discipline, self-study and surrender. Gentle practices that nurture self-awareness, self-care and steady growth from within.

Together, they're less about rules and more an invitation to move through your days with a little more clarity.

If you want to learn how to make yoga and meditation part of you life in a simple way, join us for "Meditate For Life", our 5 week online course running this October.

Your chakras, your nervous system, your subconscious patterns- they're all quietly shaping how you think, feel and respond to the world. Most of it runs in the background, unseen yet deeply influential.

Meditation is how we start to tune in. It's not about forcing stillness; it's a naturally occurring state we all already have access to.

This October, we're running Meditate For Life, a 5-week online course to help you build an effortless and natural meditation practice as part of your everyday life.

Been dreaming of a lighter, stronger Boat Pose? Start here. 🚤

Teachers, here's how to cue Navasana so your students not only get the shape right, but the why too.

1️⃣ Shoulder blades back
Form: draw the shoulder blades down and together, chest lifted and open
Function: keeps the chest from collapsing so the spine can stay long and the core strong
Feeling: expansive and open through the heart

2️⃣ Lift through the chest
Form: rise up through the sternum, front body long
Function: creates space for the breath and supports the spine
Feeling: light, uplifted, breathing with ease

3️⃣ Press through the base of the toes
Form: energy extends out through the balls of the feet, legs active
Function: keeps the legs engaged and builds strenght
Feeling: energised, alive through the whole body

4️⃣ Arms reaching forward
Form: arms extend parallel to the ground, shoulders stay soft
Function: balances the body's weight without gripping in the neck or shoulders
Feeling: steady, unforced, at ease in effort

5️⃣ Engage quads & hip flexors, hug inner thighs in
Form: thighs draw toward each other
Function: stabilises the legs and takes pressure off the low back
Feeling: centred, held, supported from within

6️⃣ Core engaged
Form: belly stays strong but without restricting the breath
Function: supports the lower back and holds the balance point
Feeling: grounded, strong, rooted to the centre

7️⃣ Straight spine
Form: lift tall from the base of the spine through the crown
Function: keeps the chest open and the breath free
Feeling: tall, light.

💛 Save this for your next practice or the next time you're cueing this pose in class.

One small gesture to settle a busy mind.

Thumb to index finger, palms turned up. This is Gyan Mudra, one of the simplest hand positions in yoga and meditation.

The word mudra means seal or gesture. In practice, mudras are subtle tools, small physical cues that help direct energy and settle the mind. Gyan Mudra in particular is used to support focus, calm an overactive mind, and ease you into stillness before you even begin to breathe deeply.

Mudras are just one doorway into meditation. There are many others, breath, movement, sound, attention, and the right one is different for everyone.

If you'd love to learn more about how to use mudras and other techniques to find a meditation practice that actually works for you, join us for Meditate For Life. Five Thursday evenings this October, guided by Nicole and Rod, exploring practices so you can discover what fits your mind and your life.
